Stealing the Show
🕑 Added 2022-07-06 19:50:26 +0000 UTCHello, everyone and welcome to this week's public update. I'm right in the middle of the second of two crazy-busy weeks in real life, which is very frustrating when all I want to do is get this damn remake finished!
I've now re-rendered 1482 / 2576 images (57.53%) Over the last few days, I've done the punishment plinth scene, Poppy's humiliation at the end of Down with the Bad Girls, the prefects scenes, the private dances and all of Queen of the Ring except for the pile-on.
I've slowed briefly to remake the play scene properly with reposing and re-lighting, for the reason that it was so early on in development that I made it, that big chunks of it weren't saved properly and have to be recreated anyway. It seems pointless to put all that effort in to simply bring it back at the old standard, so this scene will be getting the full rework treatment. It's a great scene, though, isn't it? Still one of my favourites. You can just feel how much fun Jess is having with her role.
Anyway, here's a side-by side with the old image:
Once again, it should hopefully be pretty clear how much of a difference the rework has made. The image is brighter, cleaner and has better definition. The girls' faces are more expressive and their poses more natural. And they look hotter.
Meanwhile in sprite land, the generic schoolgirls that you meet around Alancia's are all ready and raring to go, as are Melanie, Monica and the nurses. The schoolgirls also come in nude, underwear and punished flavours. Alancia's is a strict school, got to be ready for these things... I love that nurse outfit though even just in pixel form. I think if I lived in Sapphory City, I'd be making sure to get regular checkups. I'd also be spending some time hanging around outside sch....wait, no, let's just stick with the hospital one!
It's the start of a new month and so time for a very quick plug, if you've been considering supporting the game's development, now's the time you get the most value. Supporters will be invited to help playtest Missy MZ before the general public and we're getting tantalisingly close to that now. Assuming my life calms down a bit after this week, I'm probably only a few decent sessions away from a working prototype.

Poppy doesn't really interact with the Reign of Jess story, for reasons that'll become clear when you play it. I may have her put in an appearance though, I'm sure she wouldn't want to miss the torments Jess has planned for Missy!

Can’t wait for the Reign of Jess to drop. Question how will it effect the story if missy is submissive to Poppy? (without spoilers if you can)
