For australia specifically, im not sure. I mostly just use ebay for most things. For glassware, I have all my own beakers and Ill be receiving flasks and condensers soon. So I dont need to look elsewhere too often

Thanks Thor, Yeah guess I'll just keep looking around on Ebay for the glassware, although I rarely see research grade chemicals on there, ah well have to try make some things from scratch I guess.

I, too, have this problem. Luckily, after much searching, I was able to find a bioscience store (almost) near me. They don't have everything but they have basic condensers, plenty of flasks, and some hot plates. But Nile has messaged before that eBay has decent glassware (even though it might be Chinese and look cheap). As for chemicals, I've seen him say he's purchased some over eBay. Otherwise you may have to do some extractions (i.e. DCM from paint thinner, Diethyl Ether from starter fluid).

Hey Nile, love this video. Mercury is one of my favourite elements so it's been awesome to see your videos on the amalgams with gold and aluminium. I've been wanting to ask you if you have any advice on where to get my own supplies for chemistry? I live in Australia so its probably different here but just wanted to see how you source things like glassware as I've been having trouble finding anywhere that supplies to home addresses and only ship to companies. Anyway loving the videos, they are top quality and very entertaining. Thanks!

I've always loved the alkali metals and they have lots of interesting properties. Cesium is my fav element. Nickel/chromium and their colorful salts could be a cool video too. Just food for thought. I like this idea though

This is an extraordinary video! I thoroughly enjoyed this lesson on mercury especially the historical information. I truly didn't realize certain forms of mercury could pass through the body unreacted. However I still cringed when you stuck your fingers in it. I love this video. I would love to see one on Au next since Hg and Au can easily tie in together. Just curious if you are able to remove the white flash at approximately 9:40, 9:46, and 10:00. I tried to watch it in slowmo just in case it was a subliminal message. Lol Some people might find it distracting. Overall, I think this is a very informative and entertaining video. Keep up the good work!
