[Movie Club - January] Studio Ghibli's Ocean Waves 🌊
🕑 Added 2025-01-01 07:00:04 +0000 UTC
Lots of people are big fans of the Studio Ghibli movies, but I've noticed that not many have actually seen Ocean Waves... and that's me included! 😅 I've seen my fair share of them, like the big ones everyone has seen (My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke), so this will be a nice way to fill in that missing piece of the Ghibli catalog.
Ocean Waves (watch the trailer here)
Director: Tomomi Mochizuki
Starring: Nobuo Tobita, Toshihiko Seki, Youko Sakamoto
Genre: Romance, Drama
Summary: As he journeys back from Tokyo to his high school for a reunion, Taku Morisaki recounts his memories of his school days, focussing in particular on a love triangle that developed between him and two of his friends.
To be featured in December’s Cozy Corner Podcast // And for those in the LIVE events tier, I will be on the "Stage" on January 18th (2PM EST / 7PM GMT) as I watch the movie along with you guys!

Woah, really?! Have you not had any interest in them? Knowing a little bit about what you like I think you might really enjoy Princess Mononoke! It's a masterpiece!

You'll probably think this impossible, but I have never seen a Studio Ghibli movie, so this will be my first!
