TYFTC! It is awesome to see that Lilia and Arwin's ability to work together has also increased and seems to encompass the Armory as well. I can't wait to see what this armor can do!

Brandon O'Bryant

Okay I just have to say as a blacksmith: Arwin has no clue how lucky he is. 1st: He doesn't need to deal with the hassle of tongs since he can just wrap his hand in power and grab hot metal without being burned which would be amazing for any smith because he doesn't have to constantly swap what he's holding. I have had to forge tongs for the express purpose of holding a specific piece because it had an odd shape or size and then they hang on the leather around my anvil stump never to be touched again. Second: While it's minor he's never going to have the hundreds or thousands of tiny scars along his hands and arms experienced smiths get from bits of scale flying off and landing on his skin. 3rd: he never has to clean his forge because it's self cleaning. Seriously do you have any idea how much scale flys off metal when it's being worked? I could melt my scale down and make a butter knife from making a single sword BLADE probably two once you include the guard and pommel. 4th: hearing the song and bringing others into it so they all work to the same rythym and goal. Seriously unless you've ever tried forging as a team you have no idea how helpful this can be. Working in tandem requires years of practice to nail down. The only thing I have trouble grasping as a smith is why he hasn't made more hammers or tools in general. Don't get me wrong, Caldera sounds like a fantastic tool given it can heat the metal as you work it allowing you to work more between heat cycles but smiths collect hammers like kids collect trading cards. My workshop has several dozen hammers- flatters, crosspeen, peening, ball peen, dog head, strikers, engraving hammers, rounding hammers, etc. and that's just hammers, that doesn't include chisels, punches, drifts, files, and most importantly grind stones. Also surprised the Infernal armory doesn't have a stockpile of different mediums for quenching as that is a vital part of the process in any kind of smithing and different materials require different quench mediums for different results. Sure I can quench 1090 steel in water and it will be fine, but if I want to quench 5160 so it holds an edge and will withstand a hit I need to quench it either in special oil like Parks#50 or something like Peanut oil preheated to 130°F. There are alsoetals that are best quenched in brine, some work best if you can induce a thermal shock by quenching in freezing water, some can be sand quenched (which is annoying to polish afterwards), and only a rare few like S7 which is a nightmare to work with can be air quenched. Sure the Infernal Armory can just make a lot of the tools as he needs them but why waste magic when he could easily just spend a few days of just him and the armory blitzing through making a bunch of soul forged tools only he and the people who help make them can forge? Forge a fine point chisel and engraving hammer that can inlay patters exactly as their visualized, or a drift that makes it so every axe or hammer eye automatically fits its haft perfectly (historically the haft/handle breaks constantly on such tools and weapons). Seriously he's got magic at his disposal that could simplify so many things. Imagine a tailor or leather worker class getting a pair of soulforged scissors that could easily cut whatever pattern they want, or a needle that can punch through anything and give perfect stitches.

“normal. Of course, a fair amount of that was due to the fact that they were making a Soul Weapon for Lillia rather than someone else,” -> shouldn’t this be soul armor not soul weapon? TFTC!
