I agree and also have a feeling it is the citadel. What a fun surprise that could be considering the ... changes since Noah left it.

The only issue with this theory is... that it took Noah very little to actualy damage the Devourer and practically make the place his own. Meaning that stronger mages would most likely have no issue. Another question is... how strong was the guy who gave Noah the key from the citadel. Chances are... that he may have been one of the cannon fodders sent there to find it. But still. I dont think the Citadel would be what was being hinted to. On the other hand it would be a very solid opportuinty for the gang to train up... As they would need to get the place up and running enough to become a fortress.

I am starting to think that the opportunity that was hinted here is the Citadel. But given how little it took Noah to conquer, I seriously doubt the strongest of the empires would struggle reclaiming it... Meaning the citadel is still pretty damn well hidden. But what kind of event it could be, that even Orlen planned his mind becoming unified for it? If I recall correctly, Orlen said he woke up early... not sure if by years or months. But if its months, it could very well be that he planned to wake up for whatever the folowing event hinted in this chapter is.

No, if I remember correctly, he's on the cusp of Rank 9 but unable to ascend due to being corrupted by Decras' influence rather than having his own Rune of Self.

Can we please get some chapters on how the others are doing in the banquet and the tournament rounds? Or at least the faction head interested in each member of Noah's group discovering them? I like the current environment being painted but more details would pay dividends when Noah yoinks the gang (old and new) away from the faction heads and tournament. My current guesses for who tbe newbies are: - Mordred (obviously because birdred needs to happen) - that girl from the first village who's name I'm forgetting - lizard guy (maybe) - Brayden's new buddy. And apparently I only remember one name because of shipping. Or lack of coffee.

Would be hilarious if the upcoming event turns out to be the Citadel becoming more accessible for a while. Not only would it turn out Noah accidentally "won" over a year early, the potential for confusion/terror among participants as they realize the place is less abandoned than expected offers lots of entertainment possibilities.
