Turning his head, he looked at God Hermes.
"Should I come later? So as to not disturb the lady's sleep?" Hermes asked with a smile, eyes glancing toward the peacefully sleeping Elsa.
"She can't hear us."
"Oh?" A glint of curiosity flickered in Hermes’s eyes.
"Then, Hero Lioro, may I ask why your undead brought me here?"
"There are some things I want to ask... about the past."
The world he was in—Danmachi 2.0—was far beyond the timeline he knew. His knowledge was limited to the anime. He had watched up to the episode where Freya mind-controlled the city. As for the light novels and Sword Oratoria side stories, he never read them.
That was why he brought Hermes here. To get answers. Especially about whatever had killed his undead in the dungeon.
"Major incidents? Are you from outside Orario? Hmm, let me think..." Hermes rubbed his chin and began recounting events that shook the city.
Among all the chaos he mentioned, one thing made Lioro raise an eyebrow.
"Corrupted Spirit?"
"Yes. She was an ancient spirit who once accompanied the first hero during the chaotic times." Hermes’s expression turned distant. "But after being corrupted by the dungeon, she devoured other spirits, stole their powers, and built a nest between the 60th and 61st floors."
"How powerful was she?"
"She killed half of the Loki Familia, including the brave Finn."
Lioro’s eyes narrowed.
So that’s the one who wiped out my undead.
"You mentioned some gods were involved in a conspiracy?"
Hermes nodded. "Dionysus, Thanatos, Demeter—"
"Goddess Demeter?!"
Hermes flinched at Lioro’s sudden reaction.
"Y-yes. Although she was coerced..."
"Phew......"
Lioro let out a relaxed breath.
"...Carry on."
"They set up a magic circle to destroy the entire dungeon city. If it wasn’t stopped in time, Orario would have been annihilated."
The more Lioro listened, the stranger his expression became.
Was Bell really the main protagonist?
Compared to all of this, the main story felt like a background side quest. Bell was out there picking up girls in the dungeon while the Loki Familia was fighting to keep the city from being wiped off the map.
Main protagonist? Fraud.
That said, with Bell's strength at the time, he probably couldn’t have helped much anyway.
After a few more questions, Lioro waved Hermes off.
"Wait! You can't just interrogate me and throw me out!" Hermes protested as a death knight silently dragged him away. "I have questions too!"
Lioro ignored him, already deep in thought. With this information, he had to act soon. He couldn’t let the city be blown up in his sleep.
He turned to look at Elsa.
She was still sleeping peacefully, her chest rising and falling in rhythm. Because of how she leaned, her mouth had opened slightly, a thin string of drool trailing down onto his clothes.
Lioro blinked. With his right hand, he gently closed her mouth.
A few seconds later, it opened again, revealing her small pink tongue and snow-white teeth.
The saliva started dripping again.
Well. Whatever.
He covered that spot with infinity, then opened his attribute panel.
His eyes focused on the notification waiting for him.

Then a soft clicking noise made him turn.

Then, as if it understood something profound, it also raised its arm toward the sky.
"Wordmyhaaand..." it rasped.
Silence.
Lioro slowly lowered his hand.
The mummy followed.
After a moment, Lioro muttered,
"Don’t tell anyone about this."
The undead nodded solemnly.
A few hours later, Elsa's eyelids fluttered open.
Lioro’s face was the first thing she saw.
She stared up at him, dazed. His calm expression made her feel oddly at peace.
As if sensing her gaze, Lioro turned.
"Awake?"
"Yeah..." she answered softly.
"Then let’s go back."
"Ok..."
But as she stood, she noticed something strange outside.
"Hey, Lioro... what’s up with them?"
A group of goddesses were being held back by undead outside the room. Their mouths were open in silent screams as they tried to push past the guards using every method imaginable.
One of them even threw off her underwear.
Elsa blinked. "Why can’t I hear anything?"
"I blocked the sound."
Lioro's expression twitched as he saw a purple bra land near the entrance.
"...Let’s just leave."
And with a flicker of light, the two vanished.
The purple lingerie lay forgotten on the ground.

The space flickered as Lioro and Elsa appeared out of thin air.
Lioro gently set Elsa down and looked to his left.
There, Yorichii stood silently before Bell, who sat cross-legged on the ground, eyes closed in deep concentration.
Lioro and Elsa exchanged curious glances.
"Focus on your breathing. Feel it flow through your blood, trace it like a current…" Yorichii's voice was calm, almost hypnotic.
Bell's face twisted, as though enduring invisible pain.
"Don’t resist it. Follow my lead."
Yorichii moved around Bell in a deliberate pattern, tapping his forehead, back, and chest with two fingers, guiding the rhythm.
Slowly, Bell's pained expression eased.
"What are they doing?" Elsa whispered, her voice barely above a breath.
"It looks like... some kind of breathing technique," Lioro murmured back, his gaze narrowing as he noticed mana subtly swirling around Bell, drawn into motion by Yorichii’s guidance.
Then, a sharp shhh sound escaped Bell’s mouth. A faint white mist followed, visibly exhaled into the air.
Bell rose from the ground.
The mist thickened with each breath, his body now wrapped in a faint, cold vapor.
Yorichii stepped back wordlessly.
"Come," he said.
Bell pulled the knife from his back and opened his eyes—clear, sharp, focused.
"Wind Breathing."
"First Form: Dust Whirlwind - Cutter!"
Bell lunged forward in a burst of speed, his knife slashing in fluid arcs that formed a spiraling gale.
Yorichii drew his blade in one motion and began calmly parrying each strike.
Bell moved like a wild storm, his slashes a chaotic flurry, but Yorichii’s defense remained flawless, controlled and unwavering.
The duel continued for a few minutes before Bell finally stumbled backward and collapsed onto his back, chest heaving, soaked in sweat.
Yorichii hadn’t moved a step.
"I… finally did it…" Bell said between gasps, a tired but satisfied smile on his face.

Lioro silently confirmed the prompt and glanced at his new technique before calling out.
"You taught him breathing?"
"Yes," Yorichii said, nodding without turning.
"But it's not your Sun Breathing?"
"Bell’s body isn’t suited for it. So I created a breathing style more compatible with him."
Yorichii’s tone remained serene, his eyes fixed on the exhausted boy.
Lioro blinked, then sighed. "You can just create breathing styles? Honestly… I am not even surprised."
He shook his head, helplessly.
After all, all existing styles were just branches from Sun Breathing—the original. If anyone could reverse-engineer or create a new one, it would be Yorichii.
Of course, the derivatives were weaker in comparison. But that didn’t make them useless.

"About two weeks. I started teaching him right after you left," Yorichii replied in his usual calm tone.
Lioro was taken aback. Two weeks? That was fast.
Was it the effect of Bell's protagonist nature? Or perhaps the skill Liaris Phrase gave him a boost, especially since he was being trained by someone he idolized.
Not to mention, the physical capabilities of adventurers far surpassed normal humans. That alone could greatly improve training speed.
The cycle of continuous improvement had already begun. With Yorichii’s unmatched skill and Bell’s potential, they would only get stronger from here.
Lioro raised his hand and spoke clearly.

Bell’s face turned red as he shouted the words.
"Ryu best girl!"
Lioro smiled in satisfaction.
"Good. Keep it up."
"Yes!"
Elsa tilted her head slightly and looked at Bell curiously.
"Who’s Ryu?"
"Bell’s future wife," Lioro replied without hesitation.
"Wife?" Elsa’s eyes widened.
"Huh?" Bell let out a dumbfounded voice.
"........"Yorichii remained silent as usual.
Lioro continued as if nothing had happened.
"Starting tomorrow, I want you three to explore the dungeon together as a team."
His tone turned serious.
"But don’t go below the eighteenth floor for now. Focus on building teamwork."
"You’re not coming with us?" Elsa asked.
"I have other things to do," Lioro said while shaking his head.
He needed to learn an advanced identification spell, probably from someone in the Overlord world, to properly analyze the black dragon’s heart he obtained.
But before that, he would focus on farming super tier skill points. Since he was already level sixty-nine, converting standard skill points into higher ones would now be more efficient.
Then there was the corrupted spirit. According to Hermes, it would take some time before the creature fully surfaced.
That meant it could serve as a perfect training scenario for his team once they leveled up a bit more.
While he was thinking, Elsa spoke again.
"I will work hard."
Her eyes locked onto Lioro’s, full of quiet determination.
She remembered the helplessness she felt when monsters surrounded her. That moment of weakness had carved itself deep into her heart.
Lioro nodded.
With Hestia’s blessing and the contract that tied her to him as a spirit, Elsa’s growth potential was high. If nurtured properly, she would rise quickly.
After exchanging a few more words, Lioro vanished from the room.
Elsa stared silently at the spot where he had stood.
"The captain always seems to be in a hurry," Bell said, scratching his head.
Yorichii blinked once, then gave a small nod.

The air shimmered as Lioro appeared on an empty grassy plain.
He frowned.
Another world with little to no mana.
He could immediately feel the dry, dead atmosphere. Luckily, he had stocked plenty of mana potions in advance.
He looked around at the wide, open field. There was nothing in sight.
Then he paused.
'A 1:3 time flow.......'
A day in Danmachi will be 3 days in this world.
Lioro scratched his chin.
Suddenly, the ground beneath him split open. A massive mouth surged upward and swallowed him whole.
The creature was a huge, grotesque humanoid monster that had been lying hidden beneath the grass.
It stood up after consuming him, unaware of what it had just done.
One second later, the creature’s head exploded violently.
A figure emerged from the smoke, completely unharmed, floating calmly above the crumbling corpse.
Lioro stepped into the air, looking down with an unreadable expression.
He recognized the creature’s appearance.
"A titan?"
It was disturbingly similar to the giants from certain manga and shows he had seen back on Earth.
Lioro watched the body collapse into the ground.
So this world wasn’t as peaceful as it looked.
Suddenly, his eyes glowed as he remembered something.
'If this is Aot world then........'
The image of his favourite character from Aot passed through his mind.
Lioro felt an excitement bubbling inside his mind.
'My fourth general, I am coming!'
Then he rushed through the ground at an incredible speed.
