-- CHAPTER 2: Hoalauna --
****
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
On a particularly warm Wednesday afternoon after we’d all finished our classes, I sat upright straddling Matty’s Chair - yes, I mean that Matty’s Chair. Although Mother had put the house on the market to get rented out to new tenants, the girls and I had stolen the patio set and brought the outdoor lounge chairs, dining table, and umbrella up here to Berkeley. And I casually observed the five hot girls in skimpy shorts and tank tops lounging around my backyard, with one of the five seated directly before me with her head pitched forward, moaning erotically while I gave her pleasure with my strong hands and fingers.
“Fuuuuck, yeahhh...” Liliana Kealoha Pualani groaned, her supple flesh yielding to my rhythmic motions. The mixed Chinese-Hawaiian girl was a short-but-stacked little hottie, a couple of inches taller and a couple of inches curvier than Belle, with large brown eyes and brownish hair. I say “brownish” because there were dark strands mixed with lighter strands, not because of hair dye but rather the result of a lifetime spent swimming in the ocean nearly every day back in her hometown on Kauai, an activity which had also given her a perma-tan. Those strands were currently pinned up in a messy, haphazard bun, done hastily to get her locks out of the way and allow my strong hands and fingers to go to work on the tanned skin of her neck and shoulders without obstruction.
Not even the spaghetti straps of Lily’s peach-colored tank-top obstructed my movements, as the freshman coed had tugged those down to the sides of her shoulders. Even so, her tank-top was in no danger of falling down, not with a firm pair of top-heavy 32DD tits holding it up. And from my elevated vantage point looking down over her shoulder, I had an excellent view of her tanned flesh and the deep valley of cleavage between.
For several minutes, Lily made no sounds except to moan or groan in response to my questing fingers. This was highly unusual, as the diminutive coed was typically a non-stop chatterbox, happy to talk about whatever, whenever, as much as humanly possible. From the moment we’d first met the day after my three girlfriends and I had moved into the house, she’d been an unending source of conversation. We’d told our new neighbors that we were heading out to walk around the campus, figure out where to get groceries, and check out the local stores, and the happy-go-lucky motormouth had been quick to invite herself and then cajole her roommate into tagging along with us.
Speaking of Lily’s roommate, Evelynn Ayako Kawatani was a tall, sleek, and elegant half-Japanese beauty who currently reclined on a lounge chair in the shade of the umbrella. She barely moved, and with her omnipresent mirrored cat-eye sunglasses covering her eyes, I had no idea whether or not she was asleep or still awake but merely ignoring the rest of us.
I describe her as Lily’s “roommate” because in truth, that’s all she really was. Although both freshmen coeds were from the island of Kauai, the two had not gone to high school together nor come to Berkeley as friends. Lily’s parents were casual acquaintances with Evelynn’s dad back on Kauai, and upon learning that their daughters would both be attending Cal Berkeley, had arranged for the girls to be roommates together. Lily - in her outgoing, gregarious way - had been making the effort to befriend her new roommate and keep the aloof girl included in everything.
But thus far, Evelynn was proving to be Lily’s polar opposite.
I recalled my first impression of Evelynn being that of Zofi gone evil in the sense that the two had similar figures and even fairly pale skin - especially considering that Evelynn had grown up in the islands. But the hapa girl carried herself with a haughty attitude and a sharp-edged demeanor. Unlike chatterbox Lily, Evelynn spoke very little and responded to most inquiries with a silently dismissive expression as if bringing herself to verbally reply wasn’t worth her time or effort.
To be honest, neither the BTC girls nor I had found Evelynn to be very personable over the past several days and we’d more or less given up trying to get her to open up. Lily, on the other hand, was both fun and friendly, and the rest of us had come to accept that Evelynn came along with Lily as a package deal. Most days, the silent bitchy one (as Lily so accurately put it) simply hung out in the general orbit of the rest of us, observing a lot while saying very little.
So you’ll understand my surprise when Evelynn raised her sunglasses up onto her forehead, revealing her sharply-tilted almond-shaped eyes featuring dark blue eyeshadow and bright blue-colored contacts, stared straight at me, and announced, “I call ‘next’.”
“Get in line, bitch!” Sam playfully rebuked from the house’s back door as she walked toward us, holding three cold beer bottles straight from the fridge.
Evelynn rather deliberately turned to face the blonde, curving one eyebrow into a high arch while giving my girlfriend an inquisitive, almost interrogatory look.
“Sorry, Evelynn,” Sam apologized with a blush, her accent thickening a bit. “I didn’t mean to call you a ‘bitch’ like that. Was just messin’ around. Old habit from high school to say ‘get in line, bitch’ whenever one of our friends tried to--”
“It’s alright. There’s no need to apologize,” the hapa beauty stated softly in a cool voice while placing her sunglasses back down over her eyes. “I should take it as a compliment that you’ve become comfortable enough around me to use the phrase.”
“We’d like to think you’re becoming comfortable enough around us to join in on the conversation,” Naimh chimed in, sitting up from her own lounge chair next to Belle and pivoting to face Evelynn. Dropping her elbows down to her knees, interlacing her fingers, and setting her chin down on them, the redhead flashed a winning smile and added, “We’re all friends here, right?”
Evelynn smiled thinly but did not verbally reply. Instead, she nodded her head curtly and set her head back down in its previous position, staring up at nothing. I glanced over at Naimh and saw her face fall a bit. She had always been the one trying to help everyone get along, and I would never forget how she encouraged the entire BTC to recite “All for one” as a team mantra, and I could see that it stung her a bit to have her efforts fail.
I didn’t like that expression on Naimh’s face, so with that image in mind, I turned my attention to Evelynn and stated firmly, “If you want the next backrub, you’re gonna have to pay up.”
While the rest of her body remained absolutely still, Evelynn rotated her head along the lounge chair’s backrest to face me. Even with her mirrored sunglasses blocking her eyes, I recognized a frosty stare when I saw one.
“In precisely what way are you expecting me to ‘pay up’?” she asked icily.
“It’s not what you think,” I said with a chuckle while smiling broadly. “You just have to tell us something about yourself that we don’t already know.”
Evelynn cocked her head in surprise, and one manicured eyebrow arched into view above the mirrored lens. She pursed her lips but did not verbally reply, and I shrugged as I realized she was about to give me another silently dismissive look before setting her head back down and pointedly ignoring me.
Or so I’d thought. Evelynn did start to roll her eyes and set her head back down, but almost as soon as she’d started to do so, she picked her head back up to stare over at me. I shrugged and gave her an easy smile, acting like it really made no difference to me whether she wanted to tell us something in exchange for a backrub or not. And after several moments of awkward silence, she finally exhaled slowly and then removed her sunglasses completely.
“My friends call me ‘Eva’,” she stated evenly, pronouncing the nickname ‘Ava’ with a hard ‘A’. “It’s from ‘Evelynn Ayako’… Ev-A, Eva for short.”
“Wait, wha-?” Lily mumbled in surprise, still half-delirious from getting a famous Matty backrub for the past fifteen minutes. She tried (and failed) to raise her head up, her chin drooping back down to her chest. But she still managed to mumble, “How… in the hell… have you NOT told me!… after all this time?”
Setting her right elbow on an upraised right knee, Evelynn - wait, Eva - gestured dismissively with her sunglasses in her right hand and shrugged her shoulders. “I think you all can tell I don’t open up to people very easily.”
“Jeez. Really. We had no idear,” Sam drawled sardonically.
The hapa girl’s eyes narrowed, but she smirked, and I got the distinct impression that rather than be annoyed, she rather enjoyed Sam’s sarcastic tone. With a shrug of nonchalance, she added, “I just have a hard time trusting people, you know? I’ve been burned a few too many times, so my default is to not trust anybody until they’ve shown me they deserve it.”
“Have I not shown you I deserve it yet?” Lily complained. All of the work I’d put into relaxing her had now gone for naught as I could feel her neck and shoulder muscles tensing beneath my fingers. She sat up straight, and I let my hands fall away from her. “Almost two weeks we’ve been rooming together, spending all of our time together, and you’re only NOW telling me that I’ve been using the wrong name?!?”
“It’s not the wrong name.” Eva held her hands up defensively but didn’t look particularly contrite. She shrugged and explained, “Back home, only my friends called me ‘Eva’. Parents, teachers, malihini, everyone else only knew me as ‘Evelynn’.”
Lily pouted. “Are we not friends?”
“First time I met you was at the airport when my dad introduced us. I knew you were gonna be my roommate, but you were still a total stranger. You’ve been really nice but I wasn’t ready for hale aikāne right away.”
“At least hoaloha?” Lily whined.
The Hawaiian words were flying fast and furious and I couldn’t be certain of exactly what they were saying, but I gathered that hale aikāne meant something along the lines of “close like family” while I knew that hoaloha meant “friend”.
Eva made a face before waggling her head and saying, “I can say you’re the closest to hoaloha I have on the mainland. And I just told you all you can call me ‘Eva’.”
“Thank you for trusting us enough to share the nickname, Eva,” I said earnestly, leaning forward and giving her a warm smile.
She waved dismissively. “I don’t mind ‘Evelynn’. If you want to keep using my full name that’s fine with me.”
“No, I like ‘Eva’,” Naimh interrupted. “The BTC has always used nicknames: Belle, Sam, Neevie, Holly… even Matty. ‘Lily’ and ‘Eva’ fit right in.”
Sam cleared her throat and shot Naimh a look with raised eyebrows.
Lily raised her hands to my shoulders, stopping my massaging motions. She sat up a little straighter, looked over at Naimh as she asked inquisitively, “‘The BTC’?”
Naimh blushed and glanced at Sam rather than try to explain. Belle’s eyebrows went up, but she also turned her gaze to Sam. But I interjected first, “It’s an old nickname for our high school circle of friends that we don’t use anymore.”
Naimh frowned. “Wait, why not?”
“Yeah, why not?” Belle added.
“Well for starters, we’re missing four members now,” I replied with a shrug.
“They’re still BTC,” Naimh insisted. “Tell him, Sam.”
“She doesn’t need to tell me; I know they’ll always be BTC,” I said defensively.
“And we’ve talked about building a BTC 2.0 here, haven’t we?” Belle added.
Lily put in, “I’m assuming BTC are initials for something?”
“The Big Tits Club,” Sam finally explained with a smirk. “Because… well…” She hefted her massive melons and made them jiggle a bit.
Eva actually dropped her sunglasses. “You and your high school friends call yourselves ‘The Big Tits Club’?!?” she asked incredulously.
“The high school football team started calling them that,” I muttered with a sigh.
“And we decided to just own it,” Sam remarked, giving me a rather cold look and a shake of her head. “We were proud of our curves and decided to take the nickname for a compliment. We had nothing to be ashamed of.”
I frowned at my platinum-blonde girlfriend. “Then why did you clear your throat and try to warn Neevie off a minute ago?”
Sam shrugged. “It wasn’t out of embarrassment for the club name.”
Lily winced and said uncertainly, “It was about Neevie suggesting we’d fit right in?”
“Well you DO fit right in…” Belle drawled, hefting her own boobies and rather obviously ogling Lily’s stacked pair.
“Cup-size is NOT a requirement for membership,” Sam stated emphatically while holding up a single finger. “THAT was a point I wanted to make clear.”
“Then what is a requirement for membership?” Eva asked, her eyes narrowing. “Do we have to fuck Matty or something?”
“Not if you don’t want to,” Naimh drawled at the exact same moment Belle cracked, “Yes, and you have to let us watch.”
Naimh shot Belle a scandalized look while Sam just rolled her eyes.
“Belle’s joking. Nobody in the history of The BTC has ever had to do anything they didn’t want to do,” I stated emphatically, scooting myself just a little bit further away from Lily just to be on the safe side.
“Do we get to fuck Matty if we become members?” Lily asked rather coyly, glancing over her shoulder at me and grinning as she scooted her bubble butt back a little closer to me.
“That depends,” Belle drawled. “How much do you enjoy getting creamp--”
“BELLE,” I growled, cutting her off.
“Whaaaat?” My impish pixie put on her best I’m-an-innocent-angel face, to which I could only sigh.
Eva was shaking her head in mild disbelief. “The four of you are crazy.”
Sam chuckled. “Then why do you keep coming over here?”
“Me? Ask that lolo over there why she keeps coming over here.” Eva gestured straight at Lily. “I’m just tagging along.”
“Me?” Lily touched herself in the center of her chest, right above her big breasts. “I keep bringing us over here because I think this Big Tits Club might be exactly where we belong.”
“Speaking of which…” Eva pronounced, tapping Lily’s shoulder and jerking a thumb to get her roommate to move. After the other Hawaiian girl moved over to another chair, the exotic hapa beauty primly settled herself before me and glanced back at me over her shoulder with a smirk, finishing, “…this is exactly where -I- belong.”
And then she tapped both of her shoulders, signaling me to start her massage.
****
“Nnnngggghhhh…” Belle groaned as the back of her head flopped over my shoulder and her pouty lips parted ever so fractionally to let out of a puff of air. Her pale-green eyes stared up at nothingness in the vague direction of the ceiling, unseeing with her actual concentration focused inwards on the sensations of my massive dick stretching her tiny little cunny almost to the breaking point.
My nymphomaniac “not-girlfriend” and I were both naked in bed together at the end of the evening: it was her turn for a one-on-one night with me for us to talk (and make love) without anyone else around. I reclined against the headboard with a couple of pillows for lumbar support. The pint-sized pixie parked her posterior on my lap and leaned back against my pectorals with my protuberant prick penetrating her perfectly packed petite pussy. The fingers of my left hand pinched and pulled her perky, plump, pink nipples while the fingers of my right hand played with the prominent protrusion of her pink pussy’s pleasure button.
“Touuuccchhh meeee, Maaatttyyy…” my strawberry-blonde shorty “little sister” sighed as she shivered in sweet seventh heaven, her succulent snatch squeezing my steel-hard shaft.
So I touched her. The feel of my Baby Belle’s ultratight twat blanketing my turgid tool gave me more than enough pleasure to stay rock-hard. Lightning bolts of sweet sensation shot through all my senses but left me enough energy and focus to concentrate on pleasing her. I tickled her little love button, fondled her mammaries, and scratched my nails across my “little sister’s” erogenous zones just the way I knew she liked it. And all the while I kept her writhing and wriggling to and fro with nowhere to go, impaled as she was on my upright cock.
“Fuuuuuck… So big, Matty… So deep… You’re so fucking deep inside me. It almost feels like if I just fuck you hard enough it’ll come out my throat!”
“Would that be a good thing or a bad thing?” I wondered aloud with a chuckle.
“Cum in me so hard it spurts up through my own throat and into my mouth so I can taste you,” she crooned, humping herself up on me harder and harder and harder. “Fuck me, Matty! FUUUUUCCCKKK!”
“Oh Belle… my Baby Belle… I’m fucking you! I’m fucking you!”
“Fuck meee! Touch meeee!” Her lower lip quivered as she panted for breath, going quiet for a minute before she breathed, “Touch meeee… Tease meeee… Titillate me the way you’d touch Lily if she was in my place!”
I suddenly heard a record scratch.
No, seriously: I could’ve sworn I heard a record scratch, and it took me a moment to mutter, “Ummm… what?”
“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!” Belle whimpered as her head thrashed side-to-side. Her eyes were open but I knew she couldn’t see a thing, lost within a voyeuristic fantasy of me and Lily, of all people. And all I could really do at the moment, feeling utterly shell-shocked, was hang on for the ride. “Fuck her, Matty! Fuck her tight little pussy! Fuck her!”
Already so close to orgasm, Belle grabbed the back of my hand and forcibly rubbed her own clitty with it. Closing her eyes, she ground herself down around my cock while pressing my wet digits against her love button. And after another ten seconds of humping my hand, she brought herself to a squeaking climax.
“Fuck herrr! Fuck herrr! FUCK HERRR!!!” Belle screamed.
“Oh, shit!”
I hadn’t intended to start spurting. All of my concentration had been on Belle and maximizing her pleasure. But the precipitous pulses of my pint-sized pixie’s pint-sized pussy around my plenteous prick pulled the potent sperm from my implanted penis prior to my active realization of the actual event, so that it was only AFTER I’d fired several shots of scalding spunk into my “little sister’s” sucking snatch that I even comprehended that my cock had commenced cumming.
“Hnngghh! Hnngghh! HNNGGHH!” I grunted with my right forearm across Belle’s upper thighs and my left hand gripping her hip to pin her small body down against my upthrust pelvis.
My little lover squealed and shuddered in my lap. She’d sat up straight while starting her climax while I’d flopped back against the headboard while trying to blast my brains out and into her body through my upright cock. But as her strength left her, she collapsed backwards onto my chest. And in the end the two of us lay in a crumpled heap together, panting for oxygen.
It took me a minute to catch my breath, but once I did, I turned my head to look at my little lover and ask incredulously, “What was that?”
Her chest still heaving, it took Belle a few more seconds to recover before she rolled her head to mine. “What? What was what?”
I was still breathing hard but managed to clarify, “What was that bit at the end? Were you fantasizing about me fucking Lily instead of you?”
My petite pixie started giggling, which made her even more out of breath. I was still trapped inside her tight twat as her laughter made her core muscles clamp down around my cock, but eventually she sighed and relaxed, marveling, “I did do that, didn’t I?”
“Yes you did, my little voyeur. But it’s one thing to jill off while watching me pound some pretty young thing right in front of you. It’s another to fantasize about me fucking someone else while I’m fucking you.”
“Ehhh, tomayto, tomahto.” She kept giggling for a bit but eventually ran out of breath and let out a long sigh in exhalation while turning her face back towards the ceiling.
I rubbed her belly and hips with my hands, asking, “You’re not actually expecting me to start fucking Lily, are you?”
“Are you saying the thought has never crossed your mind?”
“Crossed my mind? Sure. I’m a guy. That would go for pretty much every hot babe I’ve seen in Berkeley since we’ve arrived,” I admitted. “But that doesn’t mean I ever intend to actually do so. I’m a loyal boyfriend; haven’t I proven that already?”
“Says the man who’s been regularly fucking seven hot babes all day every day all summer.”
“They were all BTC. I’m loyal to the BTC.”
“And what if Lily joined the BTC? Or Evelynn-- I mean, Eva?”
“You’re not serious.”
“Why not? We’re becoming friends with them, aren’t we? Lily’s fun and friendly and gets along with everyone. Eva’s an acquired taste, but even when she’s being silent and brooding, at least she’s not bothering anyone and doesn’t bring down the mood. They both seem smart and they’re polite enough to pitch in with cleaning up and all that. And they’re certainly around more often than Sam at this point.”
I made a face at that last statement.
“Neevie’s a great friend, but I was never going to spend the rest of my college years hanging out with just the four of us. We were always going to make more friends, and that conversation we had in the backyard about the original BTC kinda restarted my desire to make a BTC 2.0.”
“Is that a BTC 2.0 in the sense of making more friends beyond the four of us? Or is that a BTC 2.0 in the sense of making--”
“--making a new Matty-harem full of nymphomaniac three-hole sluts with big boobies that’ll pledge their allegiance to your Altar of Towering Manhood, starting with Lily and Eva?”
I felt a flush of power and pride run through me at the idea, followed immediately by a sense of embarrassment for having such greedy thoughts, and I blushed while averting my eyes.
“Did you just get thicker in me again?” Belle teased.
My blush deepened. But I took a deep breath to calm myself and shook my head in the negative. “But as great as it sounds, it’s never gonna happen. The BTC 1.0 was special. It grew organically and became so much better and… well… extraordinary… than I ever thought it could be. There’s no replicating that kind of unexpected success, which is why Hollywood movie studios always have such a hard time making good sequels. Lily and Eva seem pretty cool. I’m sure they’re very nice girls. But expecting them to ever replace the best friends we’ve lost? I mean seriously, B: nobody’s ever gonna measure up to Mari.”
“Nobody’s ever gonna measure up to Mari’s gargantuan rack, I’ll tell you that.”
I laughed. “You know what I mean.”
“I do, I do,” Belle admitted with a sigh. “Still… just because nobody’s ever gonna be able to replace Mari or Alice in our hearts - or even Zofi or Holly - doesn’t mean we should spend the rest of our college years keeping people at arm’s length. We’re allowed to make new friends. We’re allowed to build other special relationships. Besides, I miss the large group camaraderie.”
“Says the girl who nearly sabotaged the entire BTC in an effort to keep me all to herself.”
Belle pursed her lips and gave me a wounded look.
“I’m sorry. I know I shouldn’t have brought that up.”
“No, you’re right,” she muttered wearily. “It just goes back to me earning your trust again, and not only yours but Sam’s and Neevie’s as well.”
“We’re getting there,” I assured her with a squeeze, surrounding her with both arms in a warm embrace.
Belle cooed happily in my grasp and leaned over to nuzzle her nose against my cheek. “I’ll always love you, Matty.”
“I’ll always love you too, Annabelle.”
“And I never wanted to keep you all to myself; I just wanted to keep you. I fell in love with the boy next door a long, long time ago, and I never want us to be apart.”
“I know that.”
“At the same time: Matty’s Little Cumslut would love to watch you just annihilate Lily’s curvy little body and then slurp your creampie out of her stretched and sodden holes.”
“What happened to worrying about greedy bitches taking me away from you?”
“Lily would never take you away from me.” Belle stared deep into my eyes. “You don’t have any romantic feelings for her; I can tell.”
“I barely know her, and I’m not the kind of guy who’ll grab a girl I barely know and fuck her brains out. Why would I want or need that kind of soulless encounter when I’ve got not one, but three incredibly special women in my life who share their heart with me? I’ve experienced deep emotional intimacy with you and the rest of the original BTC. And anything less than that would just be… meaningless.”
“You trying to say you had deep emotional intimacy with Holly before she showed up in that wicked hot Catholic schoolgirl outfit and you--”
“That was a special case,” I hedged. “Holly and I had some unfinished business, and at least we were friends first. Bottom line: I’m not looking to add notches to my belt just for the sake of doing so. I’m not gonna cheapen myself or my relationships with the three of you just to get my dick wet with some strange pussy. You mean everything to me.”
Belle gazed into my eyes, searching my soul. I was an open book to her, and she could read the honesty in my words. “You really mean that,” she said softly.
“I really do.”
Belle blinked and then smiled happily. “Okay then, that settles it.” She promptly dismounted my dick and then spun around to park herself on her belly between my legs. My half-hard dick was still slimy with our mingled orgasmic fluids, and she audibly moaned at the savory taste when she slurped the entire thing into her mouth.
I gasped at the unexpected pleasure but calmed down quickly. Only then did I arch an eyebrow at her and ask, “Settles what?”
Belle popped off my prick. “We’re gonna get Lily and Eva into the BTC 2.0, of course. And then Matty’s Little Cumslut will get to watch you annihilating their busty bodies and then slurp your creampies outta their stretched and sodden holes!”
I frowned. “Um, did I not just explain how I’m not about to just grab a couple of girls I barely know and have meaningless sex with them?”
“Of course you did! Which is why we’re gonna make friends with them first, get to know them better, build up some of that emotional intimacy you apparently need in order to cross the line between the platonic and the physical, and THEN you can fuck their pretty little brains out!”
****
It was Friday afternoon when the doorbell rang exactly twice and I padded down the short hallway from the living room. I didn’t bother to check the peephole, already knowing exactly who would be on the other side of the door.
Eva leaned against the far porch column with her arms folded, looking super-hot but also a bit bored, which I had come to learn was just her resting bitch face. My attention, however, was on the petite hottie front-and-center immediately in front of the door.
Lily wore a backless plumeria-print halter top held together with only two strings: one around her neck and one around the middle of her back, proving that she was NOT wearing a bra beneath. The front also finished in a triangle pointing down to her waist, leaving both sides bare to show off her sculpted surfer-girl abs, with low-rise short-shorts and casual flip-flop sandals completing the look. It took me a second for my eyes to yo-yo up and down her compact-but-curvy body, and by the time I brought my gaze back to her sunny face she had a beaming smile of appreciation for my attention.
She rattled off a quick phrase in Hawaiian, the only words of which I caught being Howzit and then hoalauna, which I was pretty sure meant “neighbor”.
At least I could tell it was a warm greeting, so I responded in kind as I gestured them inside, “Howdy, neighbors. Five days in a row? You might as well move in.”
“Is that an offer?” Lily asked coquettishly as she passed me through the doorway.
“Well, we’re out of beds so you’d have to bunk in with somebody,” I remarked lightly.
“The way I hear it, at least one of the girls is always bunking in with you,” Lily laughed, spinning around. “So there’s always at least one open bed.”
“Go for it,” Eva drawled, her attention straight on Lily while she passed me as well. “Then I’ll get our bedroom all to myself.”
“Aww, but then you’d be all alone with nobody but Mrs. Morris for company,” I said sympathetically. By now I’d learned that the geriatric widow three doors down had been renting out her spare bedroom to college students for over a decade. It was a fairly large room, but still just the one room with two twin beds.
“Don’t give her ideas,” Lily admonished me. “That shut-in introvert would hole up in our room like a hermit all day and never come out.”
“You say that like it’s a BAD thing,” Eva muttered.
Lily and I both laughed and the three of us headed into the living room.
“Drinks, anyone?” I asked, gesturing into the kitchen. “Water? OJ? Diet Co--”
“Glenlivet? Chivas Regal?” Eva grumbled while flopping onto the armchair at an angle and draping her left leg over the armrest while her right foot remained on the floor. She wore a super-short skirt that showed off her loooong legs and almost revealed the color of her panties (assuming she was wearing any), but not quite.
“Rough week?” I asked with a smirk.
“Don’t ask,” Eva grumped.
“Well when the girls arrive we can crack open a few beers, but let’s stick with water for now,” I said before heading into the kitchen to fetch three glasses.
When I returned and handed out the glasses, Lily looked up at me and asked, “When will the girls arrive?”
I glanced at the wall clock above the fireplace before sitting down on the other couch at a ninety-degree-angle from the couch Lily occupied, replying, “Neevie should be here soon. Belle’s got a late class until five. And Sam texted to say she’s got some pre-law study group tonight.”
Lily frowned. “Do I detect a note of disappointment in that last one?”
I blinked. “What?”
The diminutive Hawaiian girl shrugged. “Nothing. I mean, it’s just that of your three girlfriends, it feels like Sam’s the one who’s always busy with study groups and pre-law clubs and all that.”
I waved her off. “It’s cool. I’ve always known Sam was studious and hard-working.”
“Besides, it’s not like she’s leaving you alone and unattended,” Eva put in, much to my surprise. She usually just shut up and observed after getting initial pleasantries out of the way, although perhaps she felt a little more comfortable participating in the conversation without the other girls around. “Isn’t that the whole point of having three girlfriends? So that even when your workaholic girlfriend has to do her own thing, you’ve got two other ones to keep you company?”
“That’s not the point of having three girlfriends,” I said defensively.
“For one thing, the other two clearly aren’t here to keep him company,” Lily pointed out. She then grinned and added speculatively, “Perhaps he needs a couple more girlfriends?”
Eva rolled her eyes and shook her head.
“Believe me, it’s all I can do to keep up with the girlfriends I have,” I stated with a shrug. “My relationships with Sam, Belle, and Neevie are each unique and special. I didn’t go out of my way to create this situation; growing up I always figured a romantic relationship was supposed to be between one guy and one girl. It wasn’t until I came to realize that the depth of feelings I felt for any one of them didn’t necessarily preclude me from having feelings for the others - and more importantly when the girls themselves realized their feelings for me didn’t preclude me from having feelings for the others - that we ended up having the relationships we have today. I love all three of them and all three of them love me. They care a great deal about each other and are happy to share me with their best friends. After all the time you two have spent around us the last couple of weeks, I’d have figured you could see that by now.”
“We do, we do,” Lily insisted, sighing dreamily and giving me a starry-eyed smile. “The friendships the girls have with each other are amazing, truly. And the relationships they each have with you are… well… everything a girl could wish for…”
A little alarm bell went off in the back of my head, sharpening my senses and stiffening my spine. Only then did I realize that Lily was gazing at me with an expression of distinct… interest… that hadn’t been there before. And I wasn’t immediately sure how to handle that.
I mean, I knew Lily thought I was cute. From the first day they met, she and Belle had gotten along like fast friends (a couple of shorties bonding over being shorties amongst their Amazonian friends) and Belle had told me flat out that Lily had told her that she thought I was cute. But there was a big difference between a girl thinking that I was cute but having no intention of really doing anything about it and a girl showing actual interest in me. Especially when I had a hard enough time juggling the girlfriends I already had.
And I wasn’t the only one who noticed the shift in Lily’s expression.
“Lily…” Eva drawled slowly, a warning tone in her voice.
But Lily paid her no mind, smiling at me with the same stars in her eyes. “You know, Matty… Belle told us more about the original BTC.”
I sighed. “But of course she did.”
“Seven girlfriends, was it? Not just three?”
I held a hand up, palm outward. “That was the result of a perfect storm of events over a long period of time dating all the way back to elementary school built from the foundations of emotionally intimate friendships and mutual trust, never to be repeated again.”
“Never?” Lily pouted.
“They were my best friends for years before sex and romance got involved. In some cases we knew each other as children.”
“Not Neevie. You both were already more or less grown up when you met and still managed to build a new romance.”
I shrugged. “True. But that’s still a developing relationship.”
“And it seems to me the absence of the others leaves you the opportunity for a few more… ‘developing relationships’.” Lily giggled. “Belle said you were on-board with building a BTC 2.0 here.”
I sighed again, rubbed my forehead, and repeated, “But of course she did.”
The cute Hawaiian girl frowned. “Am I not pretty enough for you? I thought these puppies would’ve qualified me for membership, easily.” She hefted her Double-Ds and alternately jiggled them for emphasis.
Lily’s crack about not being pretty enough for me put a defensive reply on the tip of my tongue, but rather than reflexively insist that of course she was pretty enough for me, I took a deep breath and leaned back against the couch cushion behind me. I spread both arms out along the backrest, exhaled, and ultimately didn’t answer the question at all.
Instead, I stated seriously, “You two have come over here five days in a row now, and that’s after coming over here three or four times last week. I know you think I’m cute, and I think you’re cute, and we’ve lightly flirted here and there, but I honestly don’t think you’ve been coming over here just for me.”
Lily frowned at my unexpected statement, the habitual chatterbox at a loss for words at the moment.
“We just finished the first week of school,” I continued. “Between classmates, clubs, and other organizations, I’m sure you’ve met hundreds and hundreds of new people by now to form friendships with. Didn’t you both join the Cal Hawai’i Club?”
Lily nodded in confirmation.
“And yet the two of you always end up coming over here to hang out,” I observed.
“Well I don’t like hanging out in large groups, period,” Eva pronounced. “But Lily’s got some deal going on with my dad - reporting back to him whether or not I’m being social - so I just tag along whenever she comes over here. You guys are chill. You leave me alone. Nobody’s egging me on to join in the conversation, except for that irraz over there.” She gestured at Lily.
But Lily paid her no mind. Instead, she knitted her eyebrows together and looked at me with a hurt expression. “Are we NOT friends?” she asked in an uncertain tone. “I can be abrasive: I know that. But I thought you and I were hoalauna.”
I blinked and then frowned. “Based on your expression, I get the feeling I’m not translating that word quite right in my head. Doesn’t hoalauna mean ‘neighbors’? No matter what, you guys live three doors down from us.”
“Hoalauna means more than just ‘neighbors’,” Lily explained. “If you break it down, the parts translate to ‘friendly companion’, but it’s more than that.”
“‘Close companions’,” Eva put in before smirking. “‘Intimate friends’, actually.”
“‘Intimate’ meaning ‘close’, though,” Lily clarified quickly, blushing enough to put some red in her tanned skin. “Not like… physically intimate.”
“You certainly seemed pretty ‘physically’ intimate and turned-on while he was giving you a backrub on Wednesday,” Eva teased.
Lily blushed even redder and then shot back, “So did you.”
Now Eva was blushing pink.
I nodded slowly. “Well it’s only been a couple of weeks so I’m not entirely sure just how ‘close’ you were thinking we’d get by now. But friends? Yes, I can say the three of us are friends, or at least getting there. I just want to make sure we’re on the same page about expectations. Belle teases about making a BTC 2.0, but I’ve already said I can barely keep up with the three girlfriends I have. And I’m honestly not looking for any romantic complications beyond the ones I’m already dealing with.”
“That’s fair. I get that,” Lily said with a nod. “Nobody in The BTC has to do anything they’re not comfortable doing, including you.”
“Thought you said you’d be perfectly comfortable ‘doing’ Matty,” Eva drawled.
Lily snorted and shot her roommate a look before returning her attention to me and raising both hands defensively. “Belle’s a very good saleswoman. She told us all these stories about hanging out with her girlfriends by the pool just relaxing and having a good time and occasionally going for a ride on your gorgeous hunk of cock that’s the biggest thing she’s ever seen. No pressure. No drama. Just seven best friends who didn’t have to deal with dating stupid boys who didn’t respect them or put up with fumbling okole puka who didn’t know how to make a girl cum. She said you guys had a helluva prom night, huh?”
I blushed and glanced away momentarily.
“But you’re right,” she continued. “We haven’t been coming over here just for you. I keep showing up because Belle and I get along great and you, Sam, and Neevie are really cool haole. Eva keeps showing up because she’s got nowhere else to go.”
“Honi ko’u ‘elemu,” Eva spat before dipping her fingertips into her water glass and flinging droplets at Lily.
“Maybe you wanna kiss my ass!” Lily turned around and shook her booty at her roommate before returning her attention to me. “Seriously, though, we’re a couple of kama’aina lost in a concrete jungle on the mainland without a single good surfing spot nearby… completely out of our element. From the very first day, you guys have been open and welcoming, showing real spirit of ohana, you know? Your relationship with three girlfriends is… unusual… but that’s cool. While everybody else on-campus is all freaked out meeting brand-new people trying to figure out where they belong, the four of you already have each other. There’s a sense of calm in that.”
“Plus you don’t have a nosy landlady looking over your shoulders asking, ‘Where were you last night? What were you doing? You’re not allowed to bring any boys back to the house, remember?’” Eva interjected.
I barked a quick laugh and raised both eyebrows. “Does Mrs. Morris actually ask you all that?”
Lily laughed. “Every. Day.”
“My sincere condolences.”
Lily waved me off and leaned back. “I have no interest in picking up a guy and bringing him home to Mrs. Morris’ house. Dating is stressful, and being a college freshman in a strange city so far away from home is hard enough without worrying about boys. Don’t get me wrong: a girl has needs that are hard to take care of, especially when there’s another girl on the other bed six feet away.”
“That didn’t seem to stop you last night, you horny little slut,” Eva cracked.
Lily’s eyebrows shot up and she flicked water droplets back at her roommate. “You were still awake!?”
Eva’s eyes glittered. “She was muttering your name, Matty.”
The next spurt of Hawaiian pidgin shot by too fast and furious for me to catch as Lily leaped off the couch and started slapping at Eva, although she kept her hands too far away to actually impact the other girl save for the laughing hapa girl’s hands waving upwards in defense.
Biting her upper lip, Lily then blew a burst of air up the front of her face that flipped her bangs back in a huff before she rolled her eyes and returned to her seat. “You can’t blame me - not after all the shit Belle said about him and his magic cock doing unspeakable things to her poor, defenseless body.”
“You were masturbating to thoughts of another girl’s boyfriend. Three other girls’ boyfriend,” Eva pointed out.
“Another girl who flat-out invited me to fantasize about her cute boyfriend and offered to share,” Lily said defensively.
“Do Sam and Neevie know she offered to share their cute boyfriend?”
“Uhhh… good point.” Lily blushed and turned her attention to me. “I’m sorry. I know this probably isn’t the kind of conversation you’re used to hearing.”
I held my hands up. “Don’t worry about it. The original BTC girls have done far worse. It’s all in good fun.”
Lily grinned. “Does that mean we’ve still got a shot at joining the BTC 2.0? C’mon, Eva. Tell me the idea of letting Matty take care of our needs between classes without all the hassles of dating doesn’t sound appealing. Nobody would even suspect, given that he’s already together with three other girls.”
“Pssht. Are you kidding me? The longer we keep hanging out with them, the more everyone’s gonna think we’re banging him too. Not that I give a shit what other people think.”
The petite Hawaiian girl waggled her head. “Well if we’re gonna get the reputation, might as well get the benefits, huh?”
“Lily…” I drawled slowly with raised eyebrows. “I told you I’m not looking for any additional romantic complications.”
“Who said anything about ‘romance’? I just wanna see if your lala-hu is as big as Belle claims it is,” she teased with an impish wink.
Eva immediately turned to face me, clearly curious to see how I’d react.
But I merely shrugged, leaned back against the couch cushion, and spread both arms out along the backrest. Fixing both girls with a dismissive stare, I muttered, “Not today.”
Lily smirked. “Does that imply… another day?”
I chuckled and shook my head, merely repeating, “Not today.”
