How would you rate the amount of alliteration in my stories?

I agree it should be a character "quirk" and use it for spoken dialog, like when joking. Maybe occasionally have other characters join in, like when people start trying to outdo each other with puns.

I've been doing it for a long time, including BTC 1, but I probably started trying to max out my high scores during ASL2.

I'm trying to remember if it was a Ben thing first or a Matt thing? (It's been a while since I read anything pre-ASL2, so I can't remember if BD was using the alliteration as much back then.) Either way, it should be one character's quirk, and even then maybe should be toned down a bit.

This was my issue. When both Ben and Matt do it, it is harder to see them as distinct narrators, and forces you to remember that they are both characters written by the same author, and make you think that you are not reading Ben's or Matt's experiences, but BDA's fantasies.

Maybe make it a personal quirk of an individual and only done with said individual.

Initially, I thought, “it’s distracting, but also kinda funny”. But after reading BTC2 Ch2, I’m definitely at “oh that’s right…it pulls me out of the story and I have to skim over it to keep going”.
id like to add that I don't have a problem with Ben doing it in the amount he does. it gets distracting when others do it though

Awesome alliteration. Perfectly pleasing plosives and percussive preludes pertaining positively to present perceptions!

I'd keep it to a single character. One doing it is fine. Them all doing it does make them sound like the same person.
