There is something going on with Sam, and it doesn’t look good. She maybe stressed or she maybe falling out of love or feeling guilty she’s noticing someone else. Or maybe she’s pissed at Matty for having a hookup without love. Making him the typical male.

Okay... here we go... I think we may be seeing, for the first time, cracks in the entire BTC concept. Just when we have the adding of a new GF (and whatever the hell Eva is as this point), we are seeing 3 other girls who starting to see problems with the arrangement... and possibly the addition of new members. Belle has always been the most unstable, and IMHO, Lily has not been the same stabilizing presence that Mari was. She still has the same body issues that started all the back at Chapter 1 of 1.0 (the whole "shorty" thing), and her jealousy issues aren't really getting any better. Now enter Lily and her dream deflowering in complete contrast to the unmitigated disaster that was Belle's, and all Belle's insecurities are bubbling to the surface. Plus, she is doing the whole Dawn Evans-styled "Til Death Do Us Part" thing (THAT is a topic for another conversation) instead of being the Little Sister that she said she wanted to be. Methinks she wants more... Speaking of wanting more, may I present its Patron Saint, Naimh O'Brien. She is still feeling left out and left behind by the Head Girlfriend and Little Sister. And now with Lily and Eva being all shiny and new, she is wondering exactly how much of Matt's heart she really has. She came to Berkeley with the expectations of being able to explore an adult relationship with Matt, with Belle taking a step back into a new role and Sam putting her career path on priority... and it's pretty much stuck in neutral. And even a new friendship with Skylar is not going according to plan. I'm not sure what the future holds for Naimh, but I get the feeling she won't be satisfied being the placeholder girlfriend while Matt waits for Sam to be ready. As for the Head Girlfriend, I honestly have no idea what that whole fight was about... Matt literally couldn't say anything without Sam taking it the wrong way. She is high-strung and hyperfocused and seems to be getting pulled in too many directions, just like in high school. It seems like she and Matt were on the same page about their relationship, but it does seem like she's holding the fact that Matt has other options against him while she refuses to indulge herself in the boyfriend who would gladly make more time for her. And now (stop me if you've heard this before) there is Lily and Eva... and I think she sees the precious little time she allows herself to spend with Matt being taken away. Her head and her heart are in constant conflict, and she won't lean on Matt to help her deal at all... and she doesn't have Zofi either. Unlike with Belle and Naimh, they didn't have any sort of productive discussion... no potential solution. I do think this is the beginning of a very rocky period of their relationship... and I fear that a countdown clock has begun on something potentially very bad. I really hope I'm wrong... Back to my original point... the fatal flaw of the BTC is that there is only one Matt and many women who want him. Perhaps 1.0 was a perfect storm or lightning in a bottle... or whatever other cliche you can come up with. And that as these relationships begin to grow and mature independently, the needs of the few may begin to outweigh the needs of the many. If 2.0 is going survive the rest of this year, let alone the remainder of college, they might have to find a way to recreate that perfect group dynamic. After all, we haven't even gotten to Winter Break yet...

I'm enjoying how this keeps going. I'll put my marker down that this meeting and discussion Matt wants just isn't going to go as smoothly as he thinks it will...

Wookey

Just when we think all is going well…. BDA throws a curve ball.

Will get the hang of this yet. Maybe Sam is school classes stressed but I think otherwise and I believe Namih is starting to wonder just what her personal endgame with Matt could possibly be. Matt thinks because he "loves" each of the girls in different ways should somehow work to his advantage in the emotional level is maybe gonna come back and bite him hard. As always, good writing by BDA and the story goes on.

serious drama unfolding. Belle has already shown issues aplenty. Maybe

Love the BTC stories. Not usually a fan of 'harem' stories, but you add the emotional friction and turmoil that others willfully or ignorantly avoid. Been going back and reading your other stories and see the progression of your writing and look forward to what is next. Keep up the good work.
