“Price you pay for dating more’n one girl,” Naimh remarked dryly.
“I’m with Matty on this,” Sam sighed wearily. “More talking? I think he and I were pretty much on the same page last night. It was you we were both worried about.”

While Naimh’s Irish constitution apparently rendered her immune to hangovers, the rest of the girls in the house weren’t so lucky. “It’s your room,” I stated diplomatically.
“Yeah, thanks for letting me crash here,” Eva added, still rubbing her temple. “Good lord I drank too much. You’d think I would’ve learned my lesson after last time.”
I chuckled. “Would’ve learned that you can’t quite keep up with Neevie?”
“None of us can keep up with Neevie,” Sam laughed lightly as she sat down on the side of the bed. “Although we ALL certainly seemed to be trying last night.”
“Certainly seemed that way to me,” I conceded while giving Eva’s shoulder a rub, teasing lightly, “Though all the other girls are already up and about while you’re in here squeezing your head.”
Eva gave me a wry grin and observed, “You think I went a little overboard last night.”
“I think you were enjoying yourself,” I said with a shrug. “So what if you went a little overboard? You did so within the safety of our house, and so long as I keep getting to hold you in my arms every time you get wasted drunk and have a hangover the next day, I’ll call that a ‘win’ in my book.”
Eva chuckled, which unfortunately made her wince and grab her temples again with one hand: the tip of her thumb on one side and the tip of her middle finger on the other.
“You are happier when you’re drunk,” Sam noted encouragingly. “Freer. More relaxed. Not that I want you to turn into an alcoholic needing the crutch or anything like that. But when we were all at home together safe and sound, there’s no real reason NOT to cut loose and enjoy yourself.”
“I suppose I do feel happier when I’m drunk. I get out of my own head and just enjoy myself rather than think too hard about what I’m doing or what it necessarily means.” Eva glanced up at me and added softly, “For example: I let myself enjoy sexual pleasure and stop worrying about whether or not what I’m doing makes me a lesbian.”
My eyes sharpened as I looked down at her. “Wait, you worry about being a lesbian?”
Eva waggled her head, which unfortunately made her headache come back again, and she had to press down on her temple again, grumbling, “Ugh. Bad idea: moving my head too fast.”
Sam grabbed a little bottle of ibuprofen from her desk drawer and poured out two pills. “Here. Swallow these.”
Wincing, Eva accepted the pills, popped them into her mouth, and swallowed them dry.
Sam gave her a maternal look. “Why don’t I get you some hot tea with honey or something?”
“No, no. It’s alright.” Eva waved her off, took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly, trying to soothe away her pain.
Sam and I waited her out, letting her rub her temple while I stroked her spine. Sam sat back down. And eventually, Eva started to relax again.
“Clearly I’m not a lesbian,” Eva began, rubbing her ass against my crotch. “I love feeling you pound me with your big dick too much to ever worry about that. Still, I grew up being taught that girls aren’t supposed to have sex with other girls.”

“Actually…” Eva took a deep breath and then started to sit up. She released my right arm and I pulled back from her, giving her room to sit upright and draw her knees up to her chest so that she could hug them.
I likewise sat up, although I shifted myself back into a reclining position against the headboard. And Sam remained seated at the side of the bed with one foot on the floor.
Eva pivoted so that I was on one side and Sam was on the other, and she specifically gave me a rueful look. “My dad already knows you and I are banging. I suppose now would be a good time to let you know that I told him you’re my boyfriend.”
My eyebrows popped, but I’d been through this drill enough times already to just go with it and nod. “Oh, cool.”
Eva blinked in surprise. “‘Oh, cool’?”
I arched an eyebrow. “Were you expecting me to be upset or something?”
“I’m not sure what I was expecting, except that it wasn’t, ‘Oh, cool’.”
“Do you want me to be your boyfriend? Like… for real?”
“What? No. I just said that for my dad.” Eva immediately winced and held her head for a moment before sighing. And with her eyes still closed, she raised her hand palm-out and muttered, “I told you before I didn’t want us to be… official… like that.”
“You did, but I wanted to make sure you hadn’t changed your mind.”
“Wait, do YOU want me to be an official girlfriend?”
“I…” My voice trailed off as I collected my thoughts to properly word my answer. This certainly felt like one of those trap questions girls always manage to come up with where the answers ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ would both be taken as criminal offenses.
And when I looked at Sam, the blonde merely shrugged and gave me a look that plainly told me, ‘You’re on your own.’
I took a deep breath. Only once I felt settled did I state reasonably, “It should come as no surprise to you that I’m rather flexible on official titles when it comes to this sort of thing. What’s important to me is that you and I are on the same page about what we mean to each other. You are very important to me, and I think you already know that. I’m here in bed with you right now, aren’t I?”
“I’m glad you are.” Eva gave me a rather sunny smile, considering the fact that she was clearly still suffering the effects of her hangover. “And I’m glad that you’re so… flexible. So yeah, I told my dad that I have a boyfriend, and I’ve told my dad that I’m still hanging out with the same group of girls I’ve been hanging out with all semester, and he said he can tell that I’m much happier now than I had been for a long, long time.”
“That’s great,” I said with a warm smile. Arching an eyebrow, I asked, “Do you need me to like… talk to him on the phone or anything? I’m pretty good with parents.”
“Well, most parents,” Sam interjected. “Neevie’s dad still hates you like you’re the devil incarnate.”
Eva glanced back at me. “Does Neevie’s dad know you’re fucking his little girl?”
Sam snorted. I swallowed thickly, having a brief (traumatic) flashback of Neevie’s dad trying to bang down my door while I’d been banging his…

“Well then from his perspective, you ARE the devil incarnate,” Eva observed.
I shrugged and smiled.
“But in all seriousness: No, I don’t need you to talk to him on the phone or anything. I’ve told him I’d rather keep the details private and that he should be happy I told him anything at all about my dating life.” Eva sighed. “Honestly, he’s far more worried about me being safe and well… not suicidal… than about whether or not I’m having sex.”
“But you said he’d freak the fuck out if he found out you were having sex with other girls,” Sam pointed out.
“Well, I might’ve overblown the ‘freaking the fuck out’ part,” Eva hedged. “I mean: yes, he’s pretty conservative; and yes, I’ve heard him make some pretty homophobic comments in general. But on the other hand…”
“He DID let his daughter get some major tattoos and join a rock band,” I pointed out.
“Exactly,” Eva confirmed. “And he knew that Kai and I were having sex and didn’t really freak out about it.”
Sam giggled. “You mean you and your boyfriend were making the rock-’n’-roll van rock and roll?”
“Well, not right in front of him at least,” Eva muttered. “I guess I’m not really sure how he’d react if he knew I was having sex with all The BTC girls. To be perfectly honest, I’m still a little surprised that I am having sex with all The BTC girls.”

Eva snorted and gave Sam a wry grin.
My eyes were wide at this point, not sure whether to be more surprised that Sam would joke about Kai’s addiction, or that Eva would play along. Then again, both of them had always had a dry sense of humor.
“So yeah, I was jealous at first,” Eva continued, “and some of the girls throwing themselves at him were pretty hot. Kai was clearly interested (what guy wouldn’t be?), although I could see him holding himself back on my behalf. I felt bad about that. “But the more often he watched his buddies adding notches to their belts, the more I could see the clear interest in Kai’s eyes,” Eva continued quietly. “The look on his face that said, ‘That could be me.’ I worried that he might break up with me so he wouldn’t have to turn down all that new pussy, you know?”
Sam and I exchanged a glance, neither of us speaking.
