Edited Patreon Goal Levels
🕑 Added 2015-09-02 19:50:42 +0000 UTC As we can expect around $750 of declines minimum a month, and Patreon fees are about 10% of all the pledges we get, we updated the Patreon Goal levels to be more accurate (i.e. we'd need, after all is said and done, $6000 to keep all three of us afloat; $7500, after the two above things, would be around that amount), same for the CG stuff, etc.Just wanted to be clear on that if anyone wonders why each of them went up $1,000 or so.
Cheshire's still working on the fix, we're planning to get it out as soon as possible; meanwhile, Triangulate's got some art for the Ice Level enemies done, and while I can't show it (per his rules) it looks pretty awesome!

I've got a tax guy doing all this stuff for me, and unfortunately, I can't claim it as a donation because it's gotten over a given amount AND because I'm paying two other people as equal partners within the thing, and because the end goal is selling a product, etc. Self-employment taxes are insane, they start off at about 40% of your income in America, if you have a good tax guy they can get it down to like 15% though

Haven't done the self-employment thing in a while, (over a decade) so I am definitely a little out of date with the tax laws for it but, if I recall isn't Patreon considered a "donation" as in, a gift, rather than an actual income? You might want to talk with a tax person. They can probably finagle something where you'd only have to pay taxes on larger pledges.

To be clear, we don't have "expenses" besides our bills/food/rent and so forth, so all the money on this goes back to keeping us afloat, etc.
