DevBlog: IRL Situation and Schedule

I wanted to give you a quick but important update, a heads up on the schedule for the next 2 patches, as well as some info on what we're working on. TL;DR at the bottom.
Situation: As some of you may know from a pervious post, I'm currently in the middle of some big life changes. I got married this month, and my wife and I are expecting a baby due in September. The past few weeks have been very busy and chaotic and I'm foreseeing that next month will be equally extra busy. As a result I've not had as much time to write as usual, though progress is chugging along (more on that below).
I've been mulling different options to tackle this - from pushing extra hard for a small patch at the end of this month, pausing altogether for a month, or extending the schedule. After some careful consideration, my best judgement is that it's very important not to pause progress altogether, but to also avoid total burnout and stress, as this could create bigger issues down the line.
Schedule: As a result, I've decided to alter the schedule for this patch and next one to be a month and a half, resulting in 2 patches over 3 months. This means that the next patch 0.4.01 will be released on the weekend Sept 17-18, and 0.4.02 will follow on Oct 30.
(Another reason is that the release itself on all platforms and channels takes about a week, so this will also save one patching cycle to get extra work done. Of course, if you wish to alter your subscription and jump back in later please don't hesitate - I want you to be happy with what you're getting.)

What we've been working on:
The long-term plan for 2022 is always something that's on my mind, and especially aiming for the goal of main story completion by the end of the year. I'm happy to share that I have started writing on Chapter 3 and laying the groundwork for the final lines that will lead to the conclusion of Alex's story. Of course, multiple endings are planned and they will not all be released at once, but in next patch you will be able to finally become a full Succubus, wings included, and make your way past the end of Chapter 2 and onto new territory.
We are also working on new interactive backgrounds, like the cemetery gates opening and closing, that have already been shared on the Discord.
Final note: You may notice a new purple name on the Discord server - "Typo Slut". This is my wife, who is generously helping out with typo reports, as well as lending a hand with proofreading and formatting.

TL;DR: Next patch will be mid Sept and patch after that end of Oct due to wedding and baby.

Hey Vincent, congratulations on the amazing news! As a newly minted parent myself, I can strongly advise you to make time for yourself and your family for a healthy situation, both for the little one(s) and you the parents :) As for the Patreon, I´m a very-late-to-the-party member - but I must say having only recently discovered the game and have really found it to be quite a high quality project! you should be proud of what you are making, and In my humble opinion, a little more spaced out schedule should serve better than forcing releases in the long run. Wishing you all the best in this new and exciting phase in life, and we will absolutely be looking forward to spooky and seductive updates on the game : )
