this album is a masterpiece! one of my favorite releases this year outside of even kpop. jennie really shined with her artistry, producing and lyricism in this album (yes she personally worked on all the songs btw.) and i am so glad she was able to showcase that. literally so proud of what she has created. <3 1. with the ie. 2. like jennie/ start a war. 3. mantra/ twin.

i’m late asf but ! twin was written about her friend chahee (who was also a former idol) they were best friends through high school and were close for years after. literally did everything together, they both would post cute pictures at the beach (which she references in the song) and have each-other all over one another’s instagram feed. fans noticed they hadn’t posted together in a while and they also were gonna co-create some brand (not sure what) which suddenly also disappeared. fan’s speculated they were no longer friends and this song confirmed that they had drifted. though recently! twin helped them reconnect as chahee was at jennie’s seoul concert dates. 🥹
