The thing in the bottom right is the gastric-panel, it does not display how much gas or waste is in your character, instead it shows how close either are to leaving your character (the yellow being gas, the brown being feces). You can combat or hasten this by clenching or straining. Both require effort through stamina, which is that green circle that appears and disappears next to the player. You cannot clench or strain without stamina. Both actions are similar but clenching does differ in that the power of the clench lessens the longer you hold it, so you cannot just mindlessly hold it down and be safe. Not shown in the gif, but clenching slows you down as well.

Thank you, I hope these small mechanics will lead to some interesting scenarios, and have relief be more than just an animation.
