Announcement of Odyssey
🕑 Added 2024-09-30 17:36:06 +0000 UTCI'm very happy to announce that development of Daemonum Imperatrix 2 has entered full speed! The game has been in pre-production for a while, coming up with the storyline, characters, feel and gameplay loop. We have now come far enough to properly start full production of the game, creating artwork and writing code. This will ensure that you won't have to wait long for the new game after the end of Domina :). We've made some real progress in the past month and the beginning area of the game is already playable!
As I've mentioned before, Domina will have multiple endings depending on your choices, but only one will be considered canon. I'm not going to go any deeper into that to avoid spoilers, but I can say that Daemonum Imperatrix 2: Odyssey will still include the Last Champion as your main character, if a bit older. All your demon girls (other than Hora, naturally) will still be there as well, if a bit... changed.
Odyssey will feature a drastically different gameplay loop from Domina, as we've gained a tremendous amount of experience since the creation of Domina and would love to create something grander. We're still a team of just 2 people, therefore we're keeping ambitions in check, so we don't have another lame Maple Hills College release situation (check out our friends in the Rose Grove for the amazing things they're doing with the title!). Still, there's a reason I've been so hyped with writing all the Daemonum lore the past few months, as much of that will be present in the sequel. A new age is starting in the Daemonum universe and you and Llavanya are its heralds!
In other news, I am planning to change the way subscription is handled soon. Currently, you are charged whenever you pledge, and again on the 1st of the next month, regardless of how many days have passed since your first charge. This is a bit unfair, so thankfully Patreon is giving me the option to switch. In the new system, you will be charged again exactly 1 month after the day you subscribed, regardless of the day; not always the 1st. Therefore, you can now pledge whatever day you wish, even towards the end of the month, and NOT get charged twice.
