DF - PaSo compatibility, now complete!
🕑 Added 2025-03-02 16:03:12 +0000 UTCAs the title says, today I present to you the Next iteration of Deadly Furnitures and Paso. Now all existing devices are capable of sending the Player and Followers to Sovngarde.
(Excluding the old garotte, which I consider Legacy content)
Just as I described it in my last post, this one was a bit of a doozie.
while it started out relatively straightforward, the chopping block and to a lesser degree the remaining decap devices opened up a massive rabbit hole of unforeseen side effects and issues which cost me quite a bit of time to Navigate.
But in the End, I think I managed to deliver a reliable result.
In addition to the compatibility stuff, I also managed to discover and address some Older issues. Notably those which have only become apparent with the emergence of NGdecaps.
which means this new version of DF should now work correctly for those who have NGdecaps installed.
While we are on the Topic of NGdecaps, due to reasons outlined in my last post, NGdecaps is now a HARD dependency for PaSo, but NOT for Deadly furnitures itself. But I still recommend using it with DF to avoid CTD's. Kindly make sure to have the most recent version installed to avoid issues (version 1.2.0 at the time of writing). https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/135254

Just as last time, DF and PaSo are highly interdependent, so please make sure to install both of the attached files. I highly recommend using a fresh save, but IN THEORY, it should be possible to just use freshly spawned devices. WARNING: if you use pre-existing devices, they will still be able to send you to sovngarde, but BAD things will happen if you ever return to them later...
This release should still be considered SOMEWHAT experimental, but I dont expect any glaring issues anymore. If you still manage to find something, even if you suspect its just an issue on your end, please don't hesitate to report it to me (preferably on the Discord)
Not gonna repeat the usual end-of-post-spiel here again because I already did that yesterday, but I'll instead close off by saying that the next post will contain new Meadhall-Device Trials, and it will be soon :)
