Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question that has been answered some time ago but i installed the mod and all the backgrounds got blurry after installation. Did i mess something up with the install order or do you know what could fix it?

with the current update on th demaster you can no longer use the regular launcher with dinput8.dll in your folder. if you simply want to change the resolution or change the volume a similar menu is present ingame by pressing escape. if you want to use the launcher momentarily you have to rename the dinput8.dll to something else then rename it back once you finished you setup

Dinput8 is the dll interface that allows DEMASTERs dll to be loaded. Without it, you are disabling DEMASTER entirely. Try my suggestions to get yourself up and running.

Actually it runs the game whenever there's no dinput8.dll in the root game folder (with or without the other files from Demaster). So I'm almost sure it's this dll the problem. But If I delete it, the game will run, but with original textures. So: With dinput8.dll -> Game does not run Without dinput8.dll -> Game runs, but with original textures

Did you run the game once before you installed DEMASTER? If not, simply delete the DEMASTER files (except for your DEMASTER_EXP folder, you can leave that alone) and the ff8launcher you have and then verify your game files through steam. Then run the game once and THEN reinstall DEMASTER files. Let me know if this helps!

I just installed FFVIII Remaster on Steam (last update), I downloaded FF8R_Demastered_1300.zip and had put everything on FFVIII folder (And tried to put all the files except the launcher as it's said it's not to "install" it, but both ways launcher does not work. When I delete dinput8.dll it works, but I don't know if it is because of it, but HD textures it's not working. Any ideas?

Você conseguiu resolver? Pelo que percebi, é o arquivo dinput8.dll que é o problema. Excluindo-o da pasta raiz do jogo faz o launcher e o jogo funcionarem, mas ainda não consegui fazer as novas texturas funcionarem

Did you do anything to the DEMASTER manager like attempt to update it? This should just be a folder drag/drop if you already have DEMASTER mods and it would work right away.

Open the DEMASTER settings and disable the LOG and the DEBUG settings. This will drastically help with the page loading until we can get the DEMASTER to work with DDS textures.
