AngelWing Ultima: 2013 (v1.0.a) Release!

This is the long awaited update that includes the 2013 version of AngelWing Ultima for Final Fantasy VIII: 2013 PC/Steam version! (English version is complete - other versions work, but contain minor glitches.) [non-remastered version only.]
This is the full AI/Machine Learning ESRGAN/Gigapixel/Custom Comp that was released for the Remastered version, but formatted for the PC/Steam 2013 original release.
I apologize for the late update, but this version took a lot of extra work on the part of FatedCourage. The cutouts and other elements of the mod were completely overhauled and re-touched for this release, so we hope you enjoy!
I will be releasing the REMASTERED version of the mod with bug-fixes and other fixes very soon, as the new work on the DEMASTER tool is nearly complete!
I will be hosting a Stream showcasing all of the updates and changes this next week, and will be starting to stream again regularly. Thank you everyone for your patience!

To use with FFNx, extract it's (textures/field_bg/) folder and all the two letter folders in it to (~/Steam/steamapps/common/FINAL FANTASY VIII/mods/textures/field/mapdata) then they should show in the latest FFNx Stable build.

How do you get this working with the FF8 HD remaster? I tried installing it but none of the static background art is upscaled, is the remaster actually supported by this mod yet? I thought it was as it appears to be working for several Youtubers that showcase your mods and how to set them up for the HD remaster version of the game.

No there is a seperate version .. it was posted in early May 2021 .. I can't seem to get the backgrounds to work but that is the one for the Remaster 2019 release

I think this is tied to the latest game update. Either downgrade to the last version before the update and try again, or sit tight and we'll have a new DEMASTER version out ASAP!

I've down loaded the angel wing mod and all the rest and did a step by step with everything the only thing is not working is the HD background . what am i doing wrong I've uninstalled everything twice and still come up with the same problem

I got "an unknown exception has occurred" and i desable Log and Debug but nothing change :'( when i try to launch the game

There should be a thing with a .zip file that you can click. It's right at the top above the title. I had to really look for it to find it.
