IMPORTANT!!!! If you previously installed any version of this mod:
DELETE ALL .png files that begin with the filename a0stg in DEMASTER_EXP/textures/battle.fs/hd_new/ before installing!!!

New Version Includes:
- New Custom HD Textures (Full overhaul to match Angelwing Ultima Fields; improved old textures to more closely match the vanilla game)
- Animated Backgrounds are included now AND fully animated! (Custom Work with New DEMASTER additions not possible on other versions)
- Sky, Mountain, and other various Seam Fixes
- New Texturing additions to nearly all Battlefields
- New Texts/Fonts and Texture re-draws with accompanying touch-ups!
- FULL DDS Release
Textures vary between 2k and 4k resolutions, in an attempt to utilize DDS capabilities and in-game animations while eliminating all loading lag.

Install Instructions:
Merge the mods 'textures' folder with the 'textures' folder in FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered/DEMASTER_EXP/

DEMASTER Instructions:
** 1. Download the DEMASTER release on github from the release above
** 2. Install the DEMASTER into your .../FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered/ folder
** 3. Open 'ffviii_demaster_manager' and run the 'unpack' feature, which will create the DEMASTER_EXP folder
(If missing the demaster manager, install it from version 1.2.8 on the Github)

Note about Lunatic Pandora Ultima Installer:
Now that this mod is complete, I can focus on finishing the latest HorizonPack world textures Ultima edition - which includes all towns from Angelwing:Ultima, as well as new custom textures that match this Battlefield Pack. That mod should take me about a week to complete, and then I estimate about another week following that to complete the first Patreon release of LunaticPandora: Ultima!

I had that issue too- was a PS4 controller plugin issue. I had to just reset my PC and start over.

I've tried this several times and still having issues with the game crashing as soon as it starts. I've tried running as an admin and using the original launcher and the demaster launcher, and same issue every time.

First and foremost I want to say thank you for what you've done to advance this game!!! Can you tell me what I need to do to update the looks of the ragnarok or balamb garden when navigating the map? They both have there original look still. Everything else looks amazing!

I got it to work!! It looks amazing! but I noticed several things. The game lags a little when moving around. The ragnorok texture still looks like the original and when I strike enemies in battle the explosion or strikes look really pixelated like I'm playing it on ps1 any suggestions?

From the comment above: Make sure you download DEMASTER 1.3 first (sounds like you might have done that) and after that's installed, install the DEMASTER v1.3.0.2 update files! Also, you must run the game at least once before installing DEMASTER!

I cant make these mods working for some reason, I installed the demaster and put the mod textures files in the /texture file from demaster but nothing happens

I know a solution! had this problem last few days ago as you can see on my first comment! copy the link and add a + at the end of the link, it will send you to the main bit.ly page and it will show you the link to the mega.nz links for the actual files, I had this problem and solved it like this, for example: https://bitly.com/SeeDRem_v1-2_DEM+ ( I added a + simbol at the end of the link and it took me to the root of the link) I hope I have helped and solved any issues! just text back if you still can't open it with the method mentioned! enjoy all the links finally!

anyone wanna link me the horizon pack the field texture pack and lunar cry? for some reason i cant get to the links because its getting blocked by whatever bitly is. or does anyone know how to get around that? any help at all would be fantastic.

Make sure you have put the hd_new textures in the correct place, (DEMASTER_EXP/textures/battle.fs/hd_new ), that you don't just have the new hd_new folder buried in the other one, and that you have DEMASTER 1302 files updated! Let me know if any of that helped

seemed super simple, downloaded the mod. went into battle fs folder deleted all png files the read me said to, extracted the textures folder. the new dds files have now replaced the png's i just deleted. I start the game and it looks like vanilla textures again. what did i do wrong?
