CYOA 4 Part 3: Loid's Self Examination
🕑 Added 2023-05-14 05:29:37 +0000 UTCLoid shuddered again and looked around, wondering what could have caused his body to suddenly spark and jolt as it did. He quickly examined his body, managing to make it look perfectly natural and normal as he did so. The hair on his exposed digits was shrinking then it had been minutes ago. He raised his arm and saw the hair that lined his arms was thinning as if he was taking a razor to it. The small scars that lined his body had diminished and healed over the years. His body had gained a cleanliness he hadn’t had since its youth. Even the smallest of blackheads or scars he might have gained were gone. Not even a shadow of his body hair had remained.
“What on earth? Did a spy use a special poison or something?”
None in the crowd got his attention, or pad him any spy at first glance. He couldn’t see any communications going on between two people. There were no lights going off, or secret signals to act as a communication method.
‘How could they have implemented the poison? Could they have brushed up on me and implemented it then?’
Loid wished he had a solid answer, but there were so many conflicting thoughts and possibilities, even then he couldn’t think of anything. ‘Why would anyone go for something that would remove the body hair? No, it has to be a side effect, but what is the end goal and what could be the cure?’
