The boys of summer refers to baseball, my love for you will still be strong after the boys of summer have gone, meaning the winter, the off-season - he loves her in the summer and all the summery aspects of the song, but will love you for the long haul as well. <3

I am a Henley fan. If you haven't heard The End of the Innocence, give it a listen (w/Bruce Hornsby on piano).

Typical 80s was my first thought, since I usually don't listen to 80s music by myself except during family breakfast. Totally overplayed in german radio, I'm sorry, but I always switch stations, when they play it .... but I bought the LP back then. So for me the song was not the star of the video, but Alexia singing along and Nick"catching" her nose... that was so sweet :-) .... and like you said, it's hard to believe, that you didn't know the song, because it was all over all radio stations ... but you never mentioned listening to much to any radio station ... and then come the stupid ones, who say, if I know this song, you have to know it as well, you are a musician ... LOL ... stupid people ... good luck it's only here, where your friends are

Can't forget this song as much as they played it on air along with Sunset Grill. I'm still trying to forget this one...lol. I'm not a Don Henley hater, the man has put amazing stuff out over the years, but I don't have to like him...lol. Great reaction guys, glad you had fun with it!

Leather and Lace is a duet with Stevie Nicks that is just heavenly, and New York Minute is musical powerhouse and a must listen if you haven’t heard the studio version (the Eagles have performed this one together on their comeback album Hell Freezes Over in 1994, and their live performance from that same live album show is epic also), and End of the Innocence is such a brilliantly woven story and melody…it gets to you in such a melancholic way. LL that you didn’t think could happen. Heart of the Matter, Dirty Laundry, and The Last Worthless Evening were also all massive radio hits for the solo Henley. The first three you really should listen to!

This track is so symbolic … like a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac ✨👓☀️

And I agree, Nick - watching Alexia belt it out was the best! And watching you care because she does - even better. Big thanks to Mario. Good job with our Alexita! 👍

Super overplayed. Hit-making formula. But why does that guitar riff still produce the tingles like we have the top down driving down Highway 1 (those T-tops are great as long as they don’t leak). This isn’t on my playlist because of the countless play but thanks for the scenic memory drive. ✨🤪

Is it possible then to request songs that could only be seen on Patreon ? If Nick isn't very familiar with Hendrix, some of his music might be a surprise. I think his heirs are shooting themselves in the foot by not allowing his best stuff on YouTube.

I remember vividly when this album was out and Boys of Summer had been playing in heavy rotation on the radio, I was driving in my car and they finally released another song from the album and were playing it. "Sunset Grill" Was the name (last song on the album). I headed straight to the record store and bought. BTPB. I would highly recommend it!
