There were many previous iterations of this band, but it didn’t find huge success until Buckingham and Nicks joined a few years before this album. The name of this album is Rumours (British spelling - heck, it confused us as well) so named because there were so many rumors flying around about the relationships in the band. Things were falling apart between Lindsay and Steevie, who was supposedly now with the drummer and band founder Mick Fleetwood. Christine and John McVee had grown apart, and many of the songs were written about all these breakups and new relationships. Members of the band have talked about the chaos of touring this album, and how magical yet miserable it sometimes was. This album is a true masterpiece and has stood the test of time.
