Well.. it’s almost here! Grab your mods and your custom content too (yes, all of it) and move it out that mods folder and somewhere on your desktop or wherever until you hear from your favorite creators their stuff is updated or cleared for the patch.
Keep in mind many of us will be waiting until after the EP drops to post updates/clear but some small mods might get the all clear post-patch.
If you want to continue playing with your mods, you need to go offline and turn off automatic updates. If you want to update your game as soon as you can, as I said, temporarily rehome your current mods folder and enjoy some vanilla gameplay!
Because of the nature of this patch/EP, please assume that ALL of my mods are broken. I will clear or update them for compatibility with the patch/EP as quickly as I can after the 16th (note that’s after the EP drops).
Please be patient; there is no timeline, I will be done when I’m done. I always go as fast as I can but we expect this to be the largest and most intensive change to the game’s code yet. I have quite a few mods from very small to very large and complex and almost if not all will be in some way affected. This means it may take longer than you are used to me needing to take but I will be working hard at getting those to you as soon as I am able.
Please note I will not be offering any mod support of any kind anywhere to anyone until I am finished.
I hope everyone enjoys all the new cas and build/buy and gameplay with the new patch and expansion pack. I know I’m excited for the possibilities! See you on the other side of Modapocalyse.

The writer career overhaul appears to be working fine but I've had to remove everything else from my Mods folder of yours, I'm really looking forward to having your fantastic mods back but understand this is a big overhaul!

if I open an old saved file and put my old mod folder, will like put my game back to how it was before the update?

As much as I've become accustomed to having mods and really don't want to play without them, I can wait. :) Always make time for yourself.

I am not updating or downloading GT until everyone is updated. No one is pregnant right now and I have too much go story to risk the update right now. I just built a PC just for the Sims.
