Family Connections

This is a mod which allows you to expand the types of relationships available in your Sim's relationship panel. They do not affect family trees as the game does not recognize them in genealogy. However, they will be available for storytelling as well as to more accurately reflect the breadth of relationships available in real life and previous Sims games.
How It Works
Core Mod
Relationship Panel
On the relationship panel, when you click on a new menu called Family Connections will appear. You have the ability to click on a sim and add a relationship to them. For in-law and great-grandparent/children relationships certain conditions must be met (i.e. they must be the parents of your sim's partner or they must have grandparents in order to be eligible to have great-grandparents, etc).
The expanded relationships available from this option are: Half-Brother/Sister, Brother/Sister-In-Law, Father/Mother-In-Law, Great-Grandparent, Great-Grandchild, Adoptive Parent, Adopted Brother/Sister, Adopted Son/Daughter, Stepfather/Stepmother, Stepson/Stepdaughter, Godfather/Godmother, and Godson/Goddaughter.
Actions Menu
The relationship panel option only works for Sims your Sims already knows. If you want to add these relationships to Sims that your Sim hasn't yet met, there is an option under the Actions menu called Family Connections. It will allow you to pick from Sims to add the relationships to.
The expanded relationships available from this option are: Half-Brother/Sister, In-Laws, Great-Grandparent, Great-Grandchild, Adoptive Parent, Adopted Brother/Sister, Adopted Son/Daughter, Stepfather/Stepmother, and Stepson/Stepdaughter.
Note on the Mod
Sims will only show up in the Relationship panel if they've been met and therefore if you want them to automatically show up and not just have the relationship, you need to add the Have Met addon else they will have to meet first before they show up in the panel. I didn't make it automatic in case for storytelling you wanted to have opportunities to meet.
Optional Addons
Have Met - Optional
This optional file makes it so the Sims who have one of these new relationships will automatically have met each other and be at least acquaintances. They will then show up in the Relationship panel.
Relationship Variation - Optional
This optional file makes it so that Sims who have one of these new relationships added will have their relationship varied from the start. This could mean that these Sims have negative relationship or a positive relationship.
Family Dynamics - Optional (Requires Growing Together)
This optional file makes it so that your Sims when they have these new relationship types have randomized family dynamics added to them.
Requirements
This mod requires the Shared Library.

Can you add more to the greats like great aunts and great uncles or great greats I have a generation let's play and it only goes so far I would love to extend my tree further

I'm confused on how to work it I downloaded it added shared tuning and it's still isn't coming up do I need to be in CAS or is it in the actual Relationship panel

I am confused on how to work this. When I go to add a step parent relationship for an adult sim and teen sim in same household, it says there is bad tuning error? Did I miss installing something?

You can use it by right clicking if you use UI Cheats but there’s no built in way in the mod currently but something I can add

First of all: Thank you very much for all your wonderful mods. - How can I remove a family connection I wrongly added? I made a step-mother appear as step-daughter.

Thank you so much for making this small mod, I always wanted to have more family connections like stepsiblings, stepchildren or step-parents, godkids and when I saw this had to download it fast.
