There's not really a canon answer I think. The game's arc for him was growing up into a warrior, but his stature compared to other Rito sure makes him look younger. Some artists also change his design because of that to make him more in line with the others. That aside, I just think some birb slit would be a fun option. So I guess any of the other Rito (Revali/Teba/Saki/Harth) would be just as fun.
