아빠와 주차 연습

이 얘기를 들은 아빠는 주차 연습을 도와주기로 했다. 공터로 가서 깔때기 모양 표지판?을 놓고 연습을 시작했다. 아빠는 처음부터 좁은 공간으로 연습하면 나중에 넓은 공간 주차는 훨씬 수월할 것이라며 꼬깔콘을 바짝 위치시켰다. 그리고 시작 하자 마자 나는 앞 쪽 꼬깔콘을 박았다 ㅋㅋㅋ 평행주차와 주차사고는 필연이었던 것이다.
아빠의 특훈을 받으며 계속 연습을 반복했고 어느 정도 감을 잡을 수 있었다. 연습이 끝난 후 동네에서 조금 더 넓은 공간에 주차하니 비교적 쉽게 할 수 있었다. 하지만..............
봐주는 아빠가 없이 실전에서 평행주차를 시도할 수 있을지는 모르겠다. 한 번 더 같은 주차 사고를 냈다가는 보험료 할증이라는 무시무시한 결과가 있을 것이기 때문이다 ㅎㅎ
그래도 아빠랑 주차연습 하는 시간이 즐겁고 좋았다. 행복했다. 아빠도 딸과의 주차 연습 시간이 좋았겠지...???

Oh dear, the dreaded parallel parking. Only one thing to do: practice, practice, practice. For actual parking in the first few weeks, can your auntie come with you when you drive to the supermarket? So she can stand outside and observe while you park and yell Stop! if you're about to bump into something. But at least you got to spend some time with your Dad, so there is something good in every bad news, right? I'm sure he is proud to be able to teach you something new after a long time.
I bet your dad liked it too. That's what dads are for lol. I have always used the method similar to this video. Works everytime if there's enough space. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Rdc0q_m2yY Instead of trying to line your car rear bumper to the car next to you (what the video says), it's easier to line your side mirror to the other car's side mirror. If the parking space is too tight, you are always better off trying a new spot than to force your car into a tight space risking collision. You'll get it after a few attempts. Best of luck!

Looks like parallel parking is your weakness in driving, it'll get easier though just keep practicing and yes I'm sure he had a great time spending time with you ☺️
