퇴근길 지옥
🕑 Added 2019-10-17 13:05:24 +0000 UTC오늘 일정이 끝난 시간이 하필 퇴근시간과 겹치는 바람에 처음으로 운전자로서 ‘퇴근길 도로’를 경험하게 됐다. 막힘의 정도는 상상 이상이었다. 이래서 출퇴근 시간은 피해야 하는 거구나 깨닫게 되는 순간이었다. 그런데 진짜 문제는 따로 있었다. 30분이면 될 줄 알았던 귀가길이 한시간 훌쩍 이상으로 늘어나면서, 예상치 못한 생리적 현상의 고비를 맞게 된 것이다.
‘아... 크흡...기저귀를... 챙겼어야 했는데...’
농담이 아니라 진심으로 기저귀 생각이 간절했다. 비상용품으로 챙겨둬야 한다는 생각이 들었다. 꿀꺽 꿀꺽 마셨던 물과 음료가 빠져나오고 싶어서 신호를 주고 그것이 한계에 다다르고 있었다. 아직도 갈 길은 태산이고 중간에 상가라도 들리고 싶은데 내 차는 이미 다리위에 있고... 정차도 할 수 없는 도로에서 이러지도 저러지도 못하며 2km거리를 기고 기어서 느릿 느릿하게 움직이는데... 눈앞이 핑핑 돌았다. 아, 미칠것같아. 그냥 저질러버릴까? 이대로 나를 놓아버려??? 차를 빨래할 수 있나??? 아 어떡하지? 이걸 어떻게 참지???? 아 어떡하지????????!!!!
정말 멘붕도 그런 멘붕이 없었다. 겨우 다리를 지나도 정차를 할만한 상가도 마땅치 않았다. 도착 예정시간은 조금씩 줄어들긴 한다. 20분... 15분... 10분만 더... 그래... 10분... 이제 앞으로 5분... 5분만 더 버티면..돼!!! 얼굴이 쌔빨개질 정도로 참아가며 겨우 겨우 겨우 드디어 집 주차장에 도착했다. 오 하느님, 제가 해낸 것인가요? 지리지 않고 귀가한 게 맞습니까??
집에 도착하자 마자 화장실에 갔는데 얼마나 시원한지 꿈을 꾸는 것만 같았다. 내가 지금 꿈과 현실을 헷갈려서 이불에 지도를 그리고 있는 건 아닐까? 너무 참았더니 현실감이 없는 기분이었다. 아... 이 순간을 얼마나 간절히 원했는지... 흐어.......사... 살겠다 ㅜㅜ 감격이었다.
이번주 토요일 벼룩시장에서 기저귀를 파는 사람이 있으면 차량 비치용으로 구매할 생각이다. 안전 운전을 위한 필수품이란 걸 깨달았다. 진지하다.

Erm wait... I just realized... How exactly do you plan to put it on in the case of emergency? Does your car have tinted windows so nobody can look in? You can't always wear it "just in case" whenever you go on a ride during rush hour, can you? This plan might need some more thought... Bushes, gas stations, fast food places etc. might be the better option after all.

I know your pain, been through it before. If nothing moves on the open road anymore at all, the last resort is to get out of the car and jump over the guard railing and find a bush to duck behind (for guys, a tree will do). If it's inside the city, you could keep your eyes open for the nearest gas station. Where I live they all have a public toilet and if you refuel or buy a little something at the store, they usually even let you go for free. You described it very vividly as well, even after the translation I could feel the pain, sweat coming from all pores. >_< This is what I meant when I said that a vivid imagination is a curse sometimes ^^ Albert Einstein came up with the relativity theory. It means time is relative. Many people think it's a very complicated matter, but it's actually very easy... What it really means is, that 5 minutes can be very long or very short, depending on which side of the bathroom door you are on ㅋㅋ

I don't think I've ever felt like they were necessary while driving, if I really have to go I just go to the closest fast food place and use their restroom lol but if it's necessary I guess I need to buy some now 😄
오늘 일기는 웃기네요. 그래서 저는 운전 타이밍이 그러면 물과 음료를 일체 마시지 않습니다 ㅋㅋㅋ 장거리 운전 할때도 적게 마시지요
