불신의 그곳 용산
🕑 Added 2019-11-26 11:07:30 +0000 UTC카메라를 구매하러 용산에 갔다. 엄밀히 말하자면 컴퓨터때문에 들른김에 카메라도 사러 간 것인데, 정말이지 용산은 갈때마다 스트레스 받는 일들이 하나씩 생긴다. 카메라를 판 사장님은 이 가격에 팔면 정말 남는 것이 하나도 없으니 이 메모리카드를 사달라며 무려 19만원짜리를 권했고 “엥?? 19만원이요?????? 뭐가 그렇게 비싸요?”하는 나에게 이게 정말 좋은것이니 12만원까지 깎아주겠다고 했다. 긴가민가 했지만 4k 카메라를 써보는 것은 처음이기도 해서 그런가보다 하고 가져왔는데...
아무리 생각해도 찝찝해서 검색해보니 해당 모델 메모리카드의 리뷰가 거의 하나도 없었다. 몇몇 있는 리뷰들도 “용산 판매자들이 마진 남기려고 파는 싸구려 모델” 이라는 내용이었다. 전화를 해서 환불을 받고 싶다고 하니 그 리뷰들은 uhs1 모델이고 내게 판건 최신 uhs2 란다. Uhs1 을 팔면 자기도 많이 남는 것 맞는데 uhs2는 진짜 고작 2-3만원 남기고 판것이며 방송국 사람들도 사용하는 좋은 메모리카드라며 자기를 믿고 한번 써보라고 하는 것이다. 성능이 좋은 메모리카드면 믿고 쓰겠지만 불량을 사용하다가 문제가 생겨 파일을 날리거나 하면 그걸 어떻게 감당할 것인가. 아무래도 찜찜하니 그냥 환불해달라고 아무리 말해도 자기믿고 한번 써보고 문제 생기면 파일들 다 복원해줄테니 가져만 오라는 것이다. 일단은 알겠다고 하고 끊었다.
그런데 더 검색을 해보니 내가 구매한 카메라는 uhs2를 아예 지원하지 않는 모델이었다. 에라이... 결국 그 판매자가 내게 오버스펙의 제품을 판 것이다. 그럼 나는 uhs1 메모리카드를 사용하면 되는 것인데 본인이 이미 그 브랜드의 uhs1은 쓰레기라는 것을 인정하지 않았던가.
내일 어차피 컴퓨터때문에 재차 방문을 해야하기 때문에 카메라 매장도 들릴 예정인데 그사람과 아웅다웅 해야하는 것 자체가 벌써부터 스트레스다. 제발 좀 양심적으로 팔면 안되는걸까? 차라리 주요 기능과 관계 없는 악세서리를 팔았다면 모를까, 영상이 업인 사람한테 영상을 날릴 수도 있는 메모리카드를 저급인 걸 팔다니 (오버스펙을 권하는 것도 마찬가지) 도대체 무슨 생각으로 일을 하는건가 싶다. 파일이 날아가면 복원하러 오라는 게 그게 말이야 방구야. 내 시간을 정말 자기가 돈으로 다 환산해줄건가??
앞으로는 카메라 사러 용산에 갈 일은 절대 없을 것 같다.

It sounds very enticing to take revenge, but I think our Eunzel loves peace and harmony way too much to actually do that. But even if she doesn't want to actually do it, if the seller acts dumb and refuses to take the camera+card back, it would be advisable to just mention/show them the channel and subscriber count as an "opinion amplifier".^^ There's no need to even threaten them explicitly, because if they can as much as count 1+1 together, just mentioning the channel should be enough motivation. ^^

They probably make more money selling the cheap ones since I'm sure they get them for almost nothing and sell them at near retail price for other similar items.

The good thing about being a Youtuber is, if these people are not doing right to you, you can always expose them to thousands or millions of viewer. It's in their best interest to give you satisfaction, especially when it comes to camera or memory card lol. Eunzel i think they should be the one scared of meeting you again, not the other way around ㅋㅋㅋㅋ. The Zellies family said everything already.👍
I used to go to Yongsan to look for electronics when I lived in Korea. I bought a local sim card, phone batteries and some other stuff. My friends warned me there might be some sketchy sellers. Anyway, I knew what I was looking for and I got alright service. One seller did sell me a battery charger without the package tho, I just thought it was a sample piece or a second-hand product. But it still works fine and the stuff were all OK price. I hope you find better service next time!

I'm not sure if they were scamming you or if they really didn't know that this model won't fit this card. But it doesn't matter, either way it's bad enough to not buy equipment there, since your income depends on the reliability of it. And if they either lie to you or don't even know which camera can use which memory card, I wouldn't rely on them being able to restore anything. Extra tip: no matter where you buy, I think it would be a good idea to have a smartphone or tablet with you, so you can do quick research of average prices and tech specs before you buy.
