바이러스보다 무서운 것
🕑 Added 2020-02-03 11:55:35 +0000 UTC바이러스의 공포로 모두가 조심하고 있는 지금, 마스크를 대량으로 사서 품절시킨 후 터무니없이 비싸게 되파는 사람들이 있다는 얘기를 들었다. 아무리 수요가 많을 때 공급자가 이득을 보는 것이 시장의 당연한 순리이고 비가 올 때 편의점 우산이 팔리는 거라 하더라도… 비 좀 맞는다고 사람이 죽을 수도 있는 건 아닌 것에 반해 바이러스는 생명과 직결되어 있는 부분이지 않나.
나는 ‘욕구’와 ‘욕망’ 을 솔직하게 인정하는 편이다. 모든 일에는 함부로 도덕적 당위성을 부여하고 섯불리 평가하면 안된다고 생각한다. 왜냐하면 우리 모두 결국은 경제활동을 해야 하고 돈을 벌어야 하니까. 먹고 살아야 하니까. 마스크 판매업자도 중간 유통업자도 그들이 이득을 추구하는 것을 함부로 욕할 수는 없다. 누구라도 효율적으로 돈을 벌 자격이 있으니까.
하지만 … 그 욕구나 욕망이 타인의 생명과 관련될 때는 생각이 극도로 보수적으로 바뀐다. 선을 넘으면 안되지. 최소한의 윤리적 선을 넘는 순간 그건 인간이길 포기한 게 아니겠나. 적당히 해야지. 에휴… 마스크 업자가 갑자기 가격을 올린다고 해도 “거… 이런 시국에 그렇게 해야겠소!” 하고 섭섭해할 판에, 업자도 아닌 소비자가 대량구매해서 되 팔면서 중간에서 이득 챙긴다니… 진짜 헛웃음이 나온다.
사람들의 공포심을 손에 쥐고 , 두둑해지는 통장을 보며 웃고 있을 그들.
사람의 탈을 쓰고 그럴 수도 있구나.

there's always going to be people who take advantage when there's fear and try to make some quick cash. i guess the best thing to do is to help people be well informed about what's going on so they won't rush and end up being scammed but yea it sucks that people are like that

Don't underestimate the power of fear ^^, in France, it's already hard to get masks and we don't have any outbreak yet. The main factory here don't have any stock left it's crazy. So i can't imagine how things are in Korea wich is closer to China. Our news are bashing Corona stuff 24/7 and that's pefect cuz our government is trying to screw us with a new law at the same time, so everyone is talking about the virus and not paying attention to that law. Damn they are smart, they did exactly the same thing with terrorist attack. That's low too... 2 years left until elections... He has to go, worst french president ever. Angela is retiring aswell isn't she ? I really don't know how the futur is gonna be, the next leaders of many country look so dangerous and extreme to me. This is going to suck. Well politics right ? We need Eunzel as a world president, or queen. That would do.

Making money with things that can save people's life is really low. Normally only pharmaceutical corporations do that type of thing ^^ If you didn't buy enough masks for your own use before, you now have two options: Either you know the seller of a shop and can ask them to put a few masks aside for you upon the next delivery (if they won't, just tell them you will pay more than what the scammer pays). Or you can try to buy them online, as it should be impossible for anyone to buy all masks from many online shops.
*Sigh* You know what? Those scammers will get what's coming to them and it won't be pretty.
