🕑 Added 2020-03-20 15:14:31 +0000 UTC이모가 바람쐬러 가고 싶다고 강화도에 잠시 드라이브 다녀오는게 어떠냐고 했다. 나도 오늘은 그림 작업만 조금 하고 쉬려고 했던 터라 좋다고 하고 출발했다. 금요일이긴 해도 평일이니 차가 많이 없을거라는 기대를 하고 출발을 했는데, 예상과 달리 거의 다 도착했을때 즈음부터 꽉꽉 막히기 시작했다. 마치 출퇴근 시간 다리 위에 정체된 차들처럼 꽉꽉. 알고보니 강화도에 들어가는 모든 차량 탑승자들의 발열 체크를 하나 하나 하고 있었던 것이다. 강화도가 발열 체크를 하며 입장을 제한할 만큼 관광으로 유명한 곳이었던가? 여하튼 우리 차례도 되어서 체온 체크를 했다. 기계는 몸에 닿지 않고 살짝 떨어진 상태로 내 체온을 체크하는 식이었다.
내게는 "34.5도 입니다"
이모한테는 "정상입니다" 라고 했다.
그런데 그 발열 체크 검문소?를 지나면서 내가 이모한테 물었다.
"이모 34도면 나 너무 낮은거 아녀...? ...좀비인가 나?"
"너 34도래? 나한텐 그냥 정상이라고 하던데. 34도면 낮지"
"그치? 36도가 정상 아닌가? 기계가 몸에 안닿고 측정해서 그런가 ㅋㅋ "
막상 도착한 강화도에는 사람이 하나도 없었다. 엥...? 발열 체크를 받은 수많은 차들은 어디로 간걸까? 우리가 강화도의 핫플레이스를 몰라서 엉뚱한 구석으로 온걸까? 여하튼 이모, 나 , 조조는 물이 다 빠진 뻘 근처에서 갈매기 소리를 들으며 살짝 걷다가 다시 집으로 왔다.
오늘의 성과(?)는, 항상 집에 머물고 있긴 해도 혹시나 걱정했던 감염 여부가 음성인 것으로 확인되었다는 것. 강화도까지 멀리 왕복한 것 치고는 힐링 시간은 별로 없었지만 ㅎㅎ 어쨌든 건강 체크를 했다는 점에서 수확이 있는 하루였다.
그럼 그 기계로 쟀을 때 열이 있으면 36도나 37로 나오는걸까? 그건 아직도 조금 궁금하지만.

Yes, 36 to 37 is normal. But the measurement is normally taken in a protected area, where the thermometer is surrounded by body tissue, like sticking it in the armpit or putting it in the mouth. The remote measurement relies on a simple surface temperature and the infrared radiation coming from it. They are supposed to measure near a blood vessel, so it should be nearly correct, but it can be off a bit if one of the following happens: -they don't aim correctly for the blood vessel in your temple -measurement is taken in very cold surroundings -you're a bit sweaty and the car's fan is evaporating the sweat, cooling your forehead down -there's a strand of hair covering your forehead or temple (the outside of the hair is a lot cooler than the head itself) So I think you're still human. ㅋㅋ Btw, zombies are below 30 degrees, 34 is typical for vampires v v

There's nothing wrong with being a zombie, we can't always choose what we are and that's ok ☺️ lol but for the temperature it can vary from time to time, our body temperature doesn't stay the same and not everyone is at the same temperature so as long as you're within the normal range you should be fine and the person who checked you said you're normal 😄
