Clarification: The Show will remain free when L I V E on X and youtube. But then it goes behind a paywall. I understand some people cannot afford a membership, so there is no barrier to watching and enjoying the show still. It is a free live show.
People have asked why I don't do this show on Patreon instead. Well, the money would make no sense since we divide it three ways here. Also, my website will most likely be the future for all LP content (date unknown). Seems to be the direction we are moving in as a creative group. One day I hope to afford our own servers. Then we won't use youtube to host anything except clips. We don't censor the show on youtube—like most podcasts—and we pay the price in the algorithm and financially. But I can't complain if youtube is hosting our stuff in the first place.
After January 1st, the price for new members of The Show will go up, but everyone signing up now at benavery.live are locked in at $8.99 (founders price). Right now I am streaming to X, Youtube, etc, and it will be embedded on the website. You will receive emails when I go live.
There is an option at checkout where if you spend a certain amount in the merch store, you also get a month for free. Make sure to take advantage of this and if you ever see me in public make me buy you something like a diamond ring or a donut and then throw me through a storefront window.
The chat which will appear on the stream is in the ben avery discord called #live, which is moderated by me. That chat is private and you only get access to it as a member of the website.
For submitting videos, I am not sure how to gatekeep that or if to get rid of it entirely. We will see. This is the first iteration of the website and it will only get better and more independent from other services (such as discord, youtube, etc) as time goes on.
Robbie P2 has big timed me as first guest, btw. Seems he is my white whale. Please ask him to come on. He's pissing me off.
I will probably do podcast and other livestream content for members only as well.
If anyone wants to create a youtube clip channel for the streams, I more than encourage that. Reach out to me so we can make that happen.
You can go to the website and give me your email also if you want to and I'll send you pictures of my wife's bras and when we are doing live podcasts or stand up.
