Sneak Peek # 3 - Monster Season is coming... [Alpha 0.17]

Besides other new features and bugfixes (I'm taking notes of the current issues!) Alpha 0.17 will be adding new and very unique character races to the world of DKH!
New Fur Shaders
I really like when fur is portrayed with that authentic look where you can see it's depth and volume, so I knew I had to give this some extra attention, and I'm really happy with the results!
These changes really makes characters fur pop out, while still being relatively performant.
There are some small issues I still need to get to, like the seams you can see in the above pic, but I really like where it's going!
New Monster/Beast Races!
Here are some of the new Monster & Beast character races currently being worked on:

Catkin
Wolfkin
Cervara
Loppan
Arachna
Lumothi
Vespera
All aspects of their looks are genes, much like every appearance currently in the game. Imagine how many combinations we'll be able to breed!
Special appendages like tails have distinct behaviours, linked to that character's current mood. Essentially, happy Wolfkin will have their tails wag!
These are all still being actively worked on. A few tweaks will be made and other detailed appendages will still be added, but let me know if you have any suggestions!
That's not all! Stay tuned for the following races soon:
Cyclopes
Slimes
Bosan (Cows)
Kobolds
Harpia (Harpys)
Sirena (Sirens)
I'll showcase them as soon as I'm happy with how they're turning out, perhaps in the next Sneak-Peek!
On Alpha 0.17 / 0.18:
Since I've had a lot of feedback from Alpha 0.16, I feel like I have many issues to fix while my hands are still full with all the new character races, not to mention other promised features.
As a result, I'll be splitting all the content I promised for Alpha 0.17 into two versions: 0.17 and 0.18.
This is so I can put out Alpha 0.17 sooner and you can all enjoy the new races, bugfixes and the dungeon codex, while I tend to other new, more complex features, without needing to keep so much content "hostage" while working towards a more complete release.
The Dungeon Codex
The Codex is essentially an ingame wiki, which allows you to keep track of everything related to your current game, it's world and DKH in general.
Characters, game concepts, factions, races, items, genes, traits, abilities.... everything you come across will be listed in the Codex!
I'm currently working in the logic surrounding this feature, but I'll showcase it in further detail (with pics!) in the next Sneak-Peek!
