Ains was infamous in Yggdrasil in that he made his character as a role playing rather than fighter and added perks so he could know over 700 spells. He also intensively studied anyone who wanted to PvP with him, studying till he knew everything about his opponent. The death spell used at the end of the episode killed everything, even the microbes in the air and the ground that's why Shalltear is now standing in a desert.

Note that after Shalltear got mind controlled, Ains will equip the Guardians with world items. (He has one too, the red orb in his body is a world item.) This is because if you have a world item the rule breaking effects of other world items won't affect you. The scenes with Demiurge, Albedo and Cocytus show three kinds of loyalty. For Demiurge protecting Ains is the most important thing, even if Ains gives orders against it. For Cocytus, obeying order is most important. Normally, Albedo would also place protecting Ains higher than orders, but she wants to believe in the man she loves in this case and he told her he would win and return.

yea yea but I guess that holy magic didn't work because he basically changed his class, did I understand that right? but still Ainz is so P2W 😂 Shalltear had no chance the poor girl I felt sorry for her. lol was it a whole minute or so of him casting those buffs, talk about over kill😂

4:25 - I think a lot of why they see Shalltear having an advantage is because she can use holy magic, which is very effective against an undead like Ainz. It was very briefly mentioned when Ainz and Albedo talked last episode. Also explained again later in this episode, so probably didn’t need to comment this 😂😂 7:40 - I always think some of those buff names sound so weird 😂😂
