Ofcourse I won't go into details because it would be a major spoiler, but I can tell you it's very complex about this powerful spirit that also tries to be reborn in the future through Chloe's body. So I can confirm as you said it will have a huge influence on the story - That's atleast what I've read from many comments from LN Readers.

oh that is true I thought it was Shizu with her hair tied 😂 but omg what does this mean? why that hero? Veldora also was shown for a second there. and who is this spirit that entered Chloe!😱 So many questions I wonder if they will get answered in the next seasons. 🤔

Just as June said, Rimuru saw someone else, that spirit didn't look like Shizu, it looked more like the hero that sealed Veldora/mentor of Shizu.
