I think they know that he is the one who destroyed the meteor, it's just that they blame him for the destruction it caused 😭

Humans are rather cruel aren't they. Regardless, Saitama still saved them all. Deep down they know that they just don't understand anything. Can you yourself believe one guy destroyed the meteor?
