ohhhh I see!! that's why Cid seemed like he understood ! I thought he was just going with it. but yea true he has been doing that since his past life and then got reincarnated and got everything he wanted 😂 Thank you for the detailed explanation that is new information to me and I didn't understand it while watching 😅

It is called Chuunibyou (中二病) - 2nd year of middle school disease - Kid plays make believe to have special powers to make themselves more interesting and/or deal with some issue. The stereotype is pretending to have been cursed/possessed by some power. One of the tropes is wearing eye patch or bandage a hand like seal that holds that curse. I think a good series that introduced this to me is anime "Chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai". Cid sisters behavior copies that, but she does not know and Cid has understanding for her because he went through the thing, but he evolved it into reality, which is what makes the series fun.
