So, to clarify who that one member of Shadow garden was thinking of killing the guy who used to be her betrothed, if you remember, all of the girls in Shadow garden are former possessed. Possessed are seen as scary and horrifying by regular people. Usually, their families abandon them once they start showing signs of the fleshy stuff on their body. Likely, her former betrothed abandoned her as well. The only people who can cure possessed as the cult of Diablos and Shadow Garden. So, to regular people, they are viewed as monsters and demons.
