lol I didn't pay much attention to the names! you are so right even Cid's friends have funny names π I took them as real names until I saw "Perv Asshat" I wasn't sure if this is really a name and has a different meaning from what I think it means or not π

I love the silly names in this show like Cid's best "friends" Po Tato & Skel Etal, however as far as i know only Po Tato's (Jaga Imo) name is a direct Translation, Skel's Japanese name is Hyoro Gari basically meaning something like slim, weak and thin so i guess Skeletal isn't that bad of a translation. When is comes to Perv Asshat (Doemu Ketsuhatto) I'm just gonna quote a reddit post π "Japanese names often have meaning that can be interpreted through Kanjis or the way it sounds. But the author admitted in an interview that he just gave up on the naming and went for the funni. Then the funni got localized and we got Perv Asshat. We see that a lot in this series." This show is full of joke names like that especially background characters, like the challengers in the Goddess Trail and now the Bushin Festival.
