So what they were talking about at the start of episode 8 was that if Hazamada knew who was behind Red Hot Chili Pepper, he would be dead like Okuyasu's brother. He said before killing him, that the brother was the one who gave him a stand in the first place. So he can't be the boss of the brother. It's just someone the brother would have known (since he met him and gave him the stand) and because of that he got killed, to silence him and keep his identity a secret. So, if Hazamada knew who he was, he would also be dead. Also I hate to say it, but I kinda feel jealous of Koichi, even if Yukako is a bit crazy. She really said "I can fix him!"
