As crazy as it sounds, Momiji actually took a ridiculously long time to develop as a fetus, like, three whole centuries just to be born. That process ended up draining a lot of Kaede’s power. Then, when Momiji was finally born, Kaede gave her a name, and that pretty much used up almost all the energy she had left. I just hope Rimuru does something about Kaede’s condition eventually so she, Hakuro, and Momiji can live happily ever after together😭😭.
