he is so unhinged and obnoxious I can't believe he is even worse in the novel! 😤 I think he left a lasting impression on all of us with his irritating behaviour haha I can't wait to see what his deal is. at the start I thought he is just someone random but he insisted on doing stupid things so I thought he might become someone important actually. he is making me angry so I want to see what's coming to him 😂 though I don't mind if he changes his ways lol

Rimuru actually almost lost his temper when he saw Gaiye slice off Mjöllmile’s arm (even though it didn’t play out the same way in the anime) and then laugh about it. But Mjöllmile smiled through the pain, which helped Rimuru calm down. That’s also why Soka didn’t step in. Gaiye’s lines were even more irritating in the light novel, and he was so unhinged that he actually beheaded Mjöllmile just to make sure he was dead. Ironically, that ended up being a great demonstration of how the Resurrection Bracelet works. On top of that, it clearly showed everyone what not to do inside the dungeon. So in a weird way, his whole appearance in Tempest was actually kind of useful. It’s good that you remember his name for now. I won’t spoil anything about what happens to him later, but this definitely won’t be the last time we see him. Do you want him to have a redemption arc? Or would you rather see him get what’s coming to him?
