Yes, Loid actually works as a psychiatrist since he’s supposed to be a family man with a normal job. It would be suspicious if he didn’t have civilian co-workers who could vouch for him doing real work. If he was claiming to be a doctor but had never been seen practicing medicine anywhere in Ostania, the authorities would catch on pretty quickly. As for Anya casually mentioning a brain-modification machine… I’m not sure if that’s just something she picked up from the spy cartoon, or if it’s something she actually saw when she was experimented on😓. Maybe it’s both. Also, I wonder how Yor would arrange the toys in the sand. She has the most chaotic thoughts, so I can easily imagine the toys ending up dismembered, smashed beyond repair, or buried completely😂. Poor Loid. I’d love to see how he talked his way into saving his reputation. Anya definitely gave him the opposite of "piece of cake" (she meant to say "peace of mind"😂).
