it's sad for sure that they weren't thankful but also I understand their anger very much 😭

What I like about this episode is the lack of a happy ever after. Zuko saved the kid and beat up the bad guys, but no one's thankful for it because of who he is. Usually an episode like this has 1 person run up and say thanks or something, but not here. The people are just angry and he just leaves. Proud of who he is, but still with the bitter taste of being an outcast as a result.
