StepMother's Rules

Her husband was a couple years older than her at 35, but there wasn’t a huge age gap between them. Unfortunately for her, things were a little more complicated when she factored in her husband’s children. He had three of them. A 10 year old, a 14 year old, and an 18 year old who he’d had at the very young age of 17.
Jolene didn’t dislike his kids, but she did find it pretty difficult to connect with them. Especially the oldest one. Jolene and her oldest stepdaughter Michelle never saw eye to eye on anything. It was hard enough trying to keep control as a housewife with three relatively new stepchildren, but controlling Michelle was next to impossible when the young lady loved pointing out that Jolene herself was closer in age to her than she was to her father; a fact that Jolene couldn’t think of any response to before the girl usually walked away.
The woman racked her brain and tried to think of some way to find an ‘in’ with these children, and eventually she decided that she would just have to set down some rules. She knew that putting rules in a household that Michelle thought she didn’t belong in wouldn’t put her on their good side, but she had to do something to establish some control. And they were going to do it or they’d get a punishment.
It started out with simple things. Chores mostly. Cleaning the bathrooms and taking out the trash, things like that. Things that her more laid back husband didn’t care as much about, probably because he spent most of his time at work and not at the house itself. Jolene on the other hand spent almost all day every day at the house and she was sick of it being a pigsty.
It definitely took a bit of coercing and some assistance from her husband, but she eventually was able to get the kids on track doing chores. Even Michelle, albeit rather slowly. The day she saw Michelle doing some of the work she assigned to her felt like a huge victory to Jolene. She knew her stepdaughter wasn’t happy, but it was either that or be punished in some way.
The new rules were working well for a while until a new dilemma came up.
Jolene went to do laundry one morning when she found a big pile of wet stained sheets that had clearly been peed on. She wasn’t sure if any of the kids were bedwetter’s, but this was the first she’d heard of it. She cleaned the sheets that first day, thinking maybe it was just a fluke. Then it happened again and again. Finally she had to confront her step-kids, she was sick and tired of cleaning gross wet sheets every morning.
She tried to get them to confess who was the one who was wetting their bed, (Or at least pretending to wet their bed.) but all three of them refused to tell who was responsible. And Jolene had had it. They were clearly just doing this to spite her and give her more work, and this time not even their father getting involved would stop them, even when Jolene threatened harsher punishments.
Soon enough, Jolene cracked and said, “That’s it!” She left and drove to the store and quickly returned with a few purchases. Diapers of all sizes which she revealed to the kids. She then said, “The next person to have wet sheets in this house will be put into one of these, get a spanking, and have to stand in that corner for a half hour. Do I make myself clear?” The kinds looked angrily at her, but agreed to her terms. Their father found the punishment pretty harsh, but agreed as well.
Jolene went to bed that night feeling confident as ever. She still had no idea if one of them was really wetting their bed or if they were just pretending to, but a part of her wished that it was Michelle so she could see that brat get a little punishment. She planned on waking up early the next morning to check their beds before any of them woke up... but to her surprise... she woke up to giggling. Michelle’s to be precise.
“Wake up Jolene! It seems like someone needs a punishment!” As her stepmother opened her eyes Michelle just giggled more as she pointed down at the woman’s crotch, only then realizing that her pajama pants, underwear, and bed sheets were soaked!
Jolene knew that her stupid stepdaughter was somehow responsible for this, but she didn’t have time to try and figure that out. Her husband was not happy.
While Michelle stood there, infuriatingly triumphantly, Jolene’s husband pulled her over his lap and rang down a spanking that was a lot harder than she would have expected. She suspected he would not have spanked his kids half this hard if they were the ones who’d had wet sheets.
With her sore butt, Jolene was made to strip out of her pajamas and put on one of the diapers she’d bought, one of the kinds big enough to fit Michelle, before being made to stand in the corner and “think about what she’d done”.
As she sniffled to herself, Jolene was not happy in the slightest. She could hear her stepdaughter giggling behind her as her husband had her pull the diaper down enough to show off her “punishment tushie”.
Even though she still desired control in her household, Jolene knew she’d inevitably stop and think twice next time she tried going up against her step daughter...
