Info about android version
🕑 Added 2024-06-21 14:50:07 +0000 UTCNeko Paradise got ported now, and is available in the same locations as the PC and Mac release.
The porter is doing it differently than before, making it easier to manage patches and dlcs. But it might be a bit weird for people that has never done it this way before.
There are instructions if needed of course.
The android version wasn't fully tested, even if we are confident, we appreciate it if bugs get reported.
Thank you!

I want to get the latest update on neko paradise
Aaron harris
Yeah I am just going to do some research because I literally cannot access the apk folders. even with me trying to move the asset file I can't get to neko file without clicking it, and when I click it it tries to install it.
Alorth
You have to move the assets.rpa to that location, you don't touch the apk file again at all until you moved the assets.rpa first.
Aaron harris
I would think so to but after I click the move asset file and go to access the apk file to get to that folder it just tries to install the apk. I literally can not access the folders in the apk
Alorth
Then you should be able to copy paste/move it into the told folder when you open the apk. Which should be on a updated S6 be on : /RenPy/org.nekoparadise.the66/game
Aaron harris
I mean that's the file manager I have been using
Aaron harris
That's what I use
Alorth
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAxfarUHXSA It's the lite version, but should be the same.
Aaron harris
But I can't access that folder is the problem hints question on what app or whatever do I need to get there on my tablet s6
Alorth
if you downloaded the assets too, you just have to move them to the folder it tells you to, and that's all.
Aaron harris
I did, I click the link, it asks to install the app, I click yes, it downloads, I click open, it ask for access to my files, I give it permission, and then when I start it up it tells my to copy the asset then shuts itself down
Alorth
it's a problem to always upload various game versions since there are mods and dlc's, so now the assets are separate and everything uses a single apk. This requires me to only upload the small apk file for bugfixes and not 1tb everytime. Besides that, I don't see why you can't just click the apk on the phone and follow it's instruction.
Aaron harris
Well I am doing it from my files and both the rpa and apk are in there so I don't know how else to do it. Is there a reason we have to do it this way not just have it as one file
Alorth
To me it sounds like you're downloading it from the link again and not using the apk already transfered to your phone.
Aaron harris
Yes but everytime I do it just downloads the apk not the asset and the original apk has been deleted
Alorth
You just have to click on the apk, of course, you might need to allow third party content instalation, since it's not a apk from the stores. Besides that, a file manager could be needed in phone, but most phones already come with one.
Aaron harris
So is there a special app I need or something to do all this in cause I have no way to access the inner program of the app
Alorth
Make sure your old Neko Paradise app is removed, then download the apk and the assets.rpa, then click on the apk and follow the instruction it gives.
Wolf Senpai
My phone isn't even letting me copy. It keeps saying do you want to update this app. Even if I hit yes nothing happens
Alorth
swiping left and right toggles the quick menu, which is the one you're referring to. Double swiping left and right will open the menu. Both actions are done by swiping in one single motion. Place your finger on the screen, perform the required movement and remove your finger.

So I'm having some issues - specifically the menu/etc. buttons on the bottom left keep disappearing. I know there's a way to also offer a menu on long click, for example. Can we have something like that?
David Epps
Ok thank you
Alorth
/ is a separation between folders, it's not a naming
David Epps
So I downloaded the update for an android 13. It claims I can't create the file name as in the instructions do to the character of / is invalid.
