Me and some of my creative shortcomings, and thanks
🕑 Added 2021-12-08 16:57:29 +0000 UTCBasically, it's written for newcomers
But I'm also taking this opportunity to organize my own thoughts
(There may be a little bit of fine-tuning every now and then
As a creator of ......
I basically still have quite a few questions
Some people who are new to me may be confused or troubled by this after they've gotten to know me a bit
So I've been thinking about it for a while and decided to write a post.
So I've thought about it and decided to write a post to summarize it
So I've decided to write a summary post to prepare people who are looking forward to the mod, or who are planning to support me, in general!
Well, basically ...... I am ......
I have a strong desire to be creative and will try out various aspects of creativity
But a lot of the time I am limited by physical and mental factors
I lose my patience easily in the short term
but patient enough in the long term
I have a strong desire to create, in the sense that I basically consider "painting what I want to paint"
as a second choice for entertainment at the moment
The first choice is of course the more relaxing and entertaining games, or novels
But my long experience with games and reading has made my tastes quite discerning
This first choice is basically empty most of the time.
So I mostly spend my free time on painting
or painting-related things (such as downloading and collecting materials or organising them ......)
I also actively try various subjects out of interest ......
But at the moment ......
Most freelance work is related to FGO in some way
There are physical and mental constraints ......
Physically, I am often in poor condition at random
and when the seasons change, it's easy to be ineffective due to discomfort
Mentally, I tend to have ups and downs sometimes due to external pressure ......
When this happens, it can lead to a drop in production
or even the inability to create new work for some time
Short-term loss of patience
It means that I lose my sense of freshness easily ......
In terms of modding and painting
It means that it's easy to suddenly lose motivation when it "looks almost done" ......
and get a strange sense of restlessness
It becomes impossible to keep working on it.
This has led me to make a lot of half-finished products ......
and only a fraction of it actually gets released
(well sometimes for other reasons too ......
for example, I don't feel satisfied with the quality of the finished product
or because it would take too much time to complete the project at this "current" stage
I find it hard to accept
Of course I have tried to overcome these problems myself
In general, I have used the following ways to deal with them ......
1. set up a rotating schedule ...... when you get bored with a mod
just drop it for a while and go make another mod
This is generally a safe way to go
But it also makes my mod project look like a giant construction site with potholes everywhere ......
Only a few of them have been filled in
2. prioritize the more "fragmented" internal projects that give me more of a sense of freshness
and splitting up larger mod projects into many smaller ones to be released first
and then create integration packs
For example, the town event ...... itself is made up of many small fragmented images
It's "fresh" enough on its own.
Splitting it into 3 pieces at release won't result in a long gap ...... hmmm
(although it seems to have been empty for a while before ......
I should continue to make small simple monsters and other small things afterwards too ......
3. Increase the speed/quality of painting and colouring
This is actually similar to the various techs in Stellaris that increase production speed ......
If you have the money and the inclination, you can click on it twice, although it may not make any immediate difference
But in the long run you'll see the effects slowly ......
Well actually I've improved a lot in the last year or two in terms of speed and quality of painting ......
Like the difference in quality between the first and last of my town figures ......
I'll be refurbishing and optimizing the old mods one by one when I have time ......
I'll continue to improve in both areas as time goes on too I guess!
Well, the last aspect of ...... is patience in the long run
It means that I don't forget some of the ideas that have been proposed!
(Well, of course, it's good to have someone to remind me when I forget something like ......
Most long term projects just don't get done because of the aforementioned boredom, or temporary lack of ability.
or a temporary lack of ability to complete them
But one day I'll make up for them!
(Well, as long as there's nothing seriously wrong with my health ......
Well, these are some of my attributes and shortcomings ......
Although those who have known me for a long time may be aware of them
But maybe some of the newer ones are not familiar with me
So here's a quick rundown ......
If you encounter these problems in the future
Please also ...... bear with me?
Some future directions
Well, in terms of painting alone, I will continue to experiment with various subjects
I'll continue to experiment with various subjects and try out some new colouring methods ......
For modding
I'll start by doing the town events ......
and then maybe add some unfinished town characters
and make some small enemies and set pieces ......
Or make/beautify some individual hero characters ......
And do some system UI tweaks ......
Well, there's a lot more that could be done!
Finally, thanks
Thank you very much to those who are supporting me now and those who have supported me in the past!
Your support has given me the space and time to think, reflect, learn and move forward!
(instead of being overwhelmed by the realities of my job until 2019)
The relative stability allows me to focus more on my work
and not be distracted by the uncertainty of the future.
Thank you all so much!
Your support has allowed me to get this far and keep going.
Today and every day to come
I will continue to work hard to create more beautiful and interesting paintings and mods!
