It was second car after Nimrod that used Aston heart.
The EMKA C83/1 was initially introduced in 1983 and competed in the 1983 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing a respectable 17th overall. The car was modified to C84 index for 1985 and raced at the 1985 24 Hours of Le Mans and finished in 11th place after briefly leading the race in the opening hours.
The EMKA Aston Martin failed to finish any of the other races it appeared at in 1985, and Steve O'Rourke of EMKA Racing decided to take a break from international motorsport.

Hi Pat. Will check the power lute :)
Hi Mate, Just did a 10 lap race around le mans and noticed a couple of things: 1) it's pretty slow, now URD or C6/7 slow, but slower than you might expect from a car that placed well, but maybe this is just how it was and 2) Either the power band or the point at which the revs trigger the change gear light is off, it runs out of power way, way before it indicates to change gear (either in the cockpit or on the wheel). Other than that though I will say on it's own it is absolutely lovely to drive
