Actually I like where they’re going with it. If you can’t get a good steamer noise, then maybe the ringing of a bell hanging from the door as someone enters, and a little animation of that bell
You could try the purchase sound effect from the Pokémon games or maybe the sound of pouring coffee to go along the café motif.
