androids don’t work with vimeo videos
🕑 Added 2023-12-15 05:18:14 +0000 UTCi’ve been getting a few comments about vimeo videos not working but they seem to be just fine on my end. the comments have only been from android users from what i’ve noticed. unfortunately the optimal way to view these videos is on PC or by copying the link into a browser. there’s nothing i can do to change that. as an 18+ creator there are legitimately no options. drop box or other similar options don’t work because i get banned within hours for using too much bandwidth. youtube wont work because they will delete your entire channel if caught (happened to my friend), and patreon just wont allow me to upload videos directly as an 18+ creator. i’m beyond frustrated. the only options i have left are to do do audio only content on here, or move entirely to fansly which puts my finances at total risk. try to be patient with me, and as always thank you for your support as i try to navigate this (im so fucking stressed about it).

yeah i can confirm the vids play just fine in browser on my cheap phone. further vindication for my dislike of every website and platform wanting you to use its shitty unnecessary app

Vimeo works on my Android (Samsung Note somethingsomething). I don't use the Patreon App, I just stay on the Patreon website. Maybe that's something that will work for folks.

Yeah it's such a weird inconsistent issue! Opening in browser has worked for me though, so it's no problem. A small price to pay for Pikl. 💚 (Hopefully Patreon gets their shit together some day)

I am an android user and have same issues. It can be frustrating. I have had grrat luck using patreon in the Chrome browser on my android phone. Patreon app wont play the vid. Good luck folks I did struggle a while.

Phone browser are much better now. Should not be a problem for Android users. You are doing great. Don't stress too hard about it.
