Update regarding pc
🕑 Added 2017-07-14 14:28:37 +0000 UTC So my brother got a tech friend over, who looked at my pc, and ended up taking my ssd out of my pc, and moving some of my files on it over to a memory chip. He also took out my other drive with all my files on it, while just completly rebooting the ssd. He couldnt find any other problems with the computer.Ive honestly no idea what was wrong with it, but im just glad I wont have to send it in, as that would have taken a few weeks. From all the tests I ran through the cmd panel, there seemed to be no problems with the computer parts either, even though it wouldnt let me really do anything other then test it in the cmd panel and scan files. For sure though, there was something wrong with windows that even the computer itself couldnt find. funny enough.
Oh well, the computer works, and now I only have to reinstall all my programs. I installed a few earlier today, and will keep installing more. Should max take one more day to get it all downloaded. /o/

im not sure how old it is, but I bought it only half a year ago, so it is odd that it reacted like this, but hopefully it wont happen again. if it does, Ill have it replaced with my warranty.

Actually on that note, it may yet be worth checking if you or your brother's friend can upgrade the firmware on the SSD's controller, if it's a particularly old one (this is exactly how my OCZ SSD failed a few years ago) <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SandForce" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SandForce</a> Sandforce-controller based SSDs were notorious for their reliability

It sounds like your SSD was on its way out, to be honest - it's not uncommon for NAND/Flash-based storage to fail in the way you described, where it becomes read-only. Obviously, as a system/OS drive, this can trigger some nasty behaviour. Good to hear you got it sorted though!
